God, some of these guys are clowns. Adande wishes the Nuggets would have added a random name, just to add one this offseason. Broussard thinks losing Dahntay Jones will hurt them big time. Chad Ford has the Nuggets finishing second in the NW, but fifth in the West behind both Portland and Utah. Not a single person predicts a #2 seed this year.

wait...what?
how is that even possible?
Everything went right for the Nuggets last season and they were one of the most dangerous teams in the league. I'm a little suspicious that everything will go right again.
word. melo's broken hand. totally right.
so was a trade a week into the season. easy to mesh instantly with no training camp.

Apparently the Nuggets have no room to improve on Melo and Kenyon each playing 66 games. Is the basic point that the Nuggets are bound to lose a guy for the entire season this year?

Just like no one thought we could be in #2 last year. Sport is most difficult to predict. Our team is "Stealth and Deadly" Portland will be around 3rd or 4th seed. I impressed these clowns going blind on us. AA is real deal! Once Ty is going, watch out! Pepsi center needs more pads at the end of the court to stop the guy.
We really need one more sized up shooter on SF or PF. I hope that Wally drama goes through for us. White waived. i got a good feeling on this Wally thing.

Just like it has said below on NBA.com we can predict but!!!!!
Last season's NBA predictions were no different. Remember that trendy, Elton Brand/Philly pick from last season? And look how injuries killed the Hornets. Who saw Orlando winning close to 60 games? And there was no way we could have seen the Allen Iverson/Chauncey Billups trade or the impact that Billups would have on the young Nuggets. We knew the Cavs were good, but 66-wins good? Child please, don't even front.
You see what I'm saying, now? Thankfully, practically no one has seen that movie The Weather Man from a few years, otherwise us "experts" would be getting milkshakes in the face just like Nicolas Cage. But as ridiculous and fallible as this preseason tradition happens to be, I gotta do it. Why? 'Cause it's fun -- that's why. Just don't hold me to it.

George Karl's comments in that NBATV season preview were dead on. "Summer time talk is cheap." A bunch of non-expert sports writers trying to sound like experts.
The funny thing with the media these days is that no one is capable of an original thought. Or I guess I should say a thought in general, because there is rarely any thinking involved. The Nuggets didn't make any major changes, while other teams did...so therefore they're automatically worse and other teams are better. There is no real logic involved, but it's the easy answer and after a few media types say it, everyone else does as well, out of fear if they actually say something bold they'll lose credibility. And when they're wrong, which is often the case, they can blow it off because "everyone else thought that too, so it was just a surprise."
I hate the **** media.

Re: ESPN Predicts The West (I thought they already did this)
That and everybody posturing for their own team (Bargnani is a darkhorse for the scoring title!) make me want the season to start that much more.
Last year during the playoffs it was all about how Denver was here to stay, and their young nucleus was going to make them better every year. Then San Antonio get a couple guys in the offseason, and everybody **** their pants. Dallas got Shawn Marion! A guy who doesn't fit at all on that team! But he's a new guy!!!!
