No real surprises here. Would have liked to see White stick around so he could participate in the dunk contest but oh well.

ehh did you add that? or maybe I missed it. either way I bet it came to a surprise to most. George Karl would start Raja Bell. He's on the block. It might be time to make a move.

It's been pretty well established for a while now that Graham would be making the squad over White.

Yeah. You didn't miss the gushing Karl did about Graham in the paper a few weeks back did you?

Pretty stupid to waive White now, as we have the roster spot and his contract isn't guaranteed until January. Could have kept him for a couple months just in case, or at least until we get through J.R.'s suspension. Although I guess they figure if they aren't going to keep him for the season, might as well not screw him over by holding him hostage for that long(even if he'd still be getting paid a little bit).

yea George Karl has a new man crush.... but what the Nuggets really need from a starting two guard on the offensive end is simply a floor spacer. That aint Graham. Kobe can match up on Graham and roam all over the damn place. Which makes life difficult on guys looking for room to operate.

I was hoping both players would be kept, and when JR's suspension was over, Graham would be waived.

That's exactly why the FO should have cut Graham. GK has proven he can't be trusted with the rotation, so the FO really shouldn't have kept AC and Graham. What happened to the FO that traded Boykins because Karl was overplaying him?

To be fair to Karl (which I loathe doing), we've yet to see exactly how he's going to play Graham. We haven't played a single regular season game. The FO can't preemptively drop a player they signed just because they think the coach might overuse him. Boykins had been severely overused and was a clear hindrance to the team when he was dumped.

True, but Karl's history has proven he could very well likely use Graham wrong. Although, to be fair to Karl as well, he really didn't have anyone else to play at SG besides DJ and AC (when JR wasn't in) last year. Would have been great to try Balkman there, but this year Karl has AA to give minutes to. So hopefully he won't mess things up too much.

AC though, we know he'll be getting minutes Lawson should get. Big mistake by the FO there.

I'm not surprised that the 3 camp invitees got waived, but waving White was surprising. I remember reading that Graham is beating out White for the job, but I didn't expect him to be cut. What was the point of trading the 2nd round pick anyways for him... We only have 13 guys on the team, and White's contract is non-guaranteed until January, why not keep him at least for the duration of JR's suspension.
