The lineup doesn't really bother me. If it works GK will have us all eating crow, if it doesn't, he might not get an extension on his contract.

Lawsons speed is so crazy. He is really fun to watch and I hope he can get the minutes to improve. I just don't see how AC can get mins over a faster, stronger, smarter rookie. It is frustrating that a coach can be so anti-rookie, or in this case anti-logic.

Holy God that's frustrating. My really quick thoughts on everybody I remember:

Chauncey - he'll be ready once the season starts. Hardly a game he needed to do anything.
Graham - looked pitiful. I fail to understand what he's going to provide. Rebounding?
Melo - is going to have his best year this year. He looks ready.
K-Mart - doesn't really care right now, I imagine. Took some pretty random shots.
Nene - not sure why he got so few touches. I really don't get it.

AC - absolute turnover machine tonight. Did everything poorly. Did nothing well.
Afflalo - pretty underwhelming. Couldn't handle the ball at all, hit a few shots.
Birdman - is he out of shape or something? I think he'll have the energy back once the season starts.
Allen - did nothing that impressed me.
Lawson - showed bits and pieces of what he'll be capable of.
Petro - looked lost.

Basically, Graham and Carter are going to be the bane of my existence. Graham was fine when he was an end of bench guy, or 10 mpg guy behind Melo. As a starting 2 (horribly out of position), he makes me want to shoot myself. Carter is so god damn bad, it's infuriating. I still can fathom GK's quote of "AC's not going to impress anybody at all with his A/TO ratio". As if that's an unimportant deal for a PG.

And JR looked just as good as he did after the Iverson trade sitting on the bench. I still don't get what it is that Balkman does wrong. When he gets minutes he provides solid production, but nothing he does ever seems to carry over to the next game as far as minutes for him goes.

I forgot all about Balkman. What was his deal tonight? Was he in uniform?

I saw JR on a camera shot, but I don't recall seeing Balkman anywhere.

did AC learn that 'drive baseline, jump in the air while in the key, throw to someone who's halfway open, hope ball makes it there' move from iverson, or did he have it in his arsenal before coming to denver? :dontknow:

I don't know because he never got to play much before he got to Denver.

My wife had to remind me 10 times that this was only a preseason game. Everybody outside of Lawson and Melo played like total ****, and Karl's two pets were the worst two. I cannot see how anyone could justify not giving Lawson the backup PG minutes, and JR 36+ minutes a night after this showing. Hell if you ask me Graham should never see the light of day again in a Nuggets jersey, he should be cut and the left over minutes behind Melo should go to Balkman. Speaking of which why is Allen getting all the minutes at backup PF going 0-4 with 1 rebound, while we have a young SF/PF that produces everytime he steps on the court yet he is not allowed anywhere near the court? If this is how this team is going to play running this **** offense and no defense, not to mention how they are going to use Carter and Graham while ignoring better options, they may as well fire Karl right now as we are going nowhere fast.

Still pre-season game. First couple of games in regular season will really bring out what Karl has in mind. We need to start up the secret fund to collect money to pay for a hitman to do "AC JOB". I have just had enough of him!

We really need another shooter! God hope that Wally deal goes through really. If that saying : Face is the window to the soul! Graham looks like stupid bull!!!

How about you give us Powell and Artest in exchange for AC and Graham. Way better deal.
