There is absolutely no excuse for Afflalo not to be starting. None. I'll let it go for another game, but if there aren't some serious changes to the lineup after this next game when J.R. gets back, it'll be time to flip ****.

I'm all about making guys earn their PT, which is why it wasn't such a big deal at the start of the season...but at this point, Lawson and Afflalo have proven they deserve to get minutes, and AC has proven he doesn't deserve to be in the NBA. It should be expected that Karl adjusts accordingly.

AC f*cking sucks so bad. He clanked all his wide open shots. Billups looked like he had a hang over lol (its okay) :P Good Game for AA (i like the intensity and energy he gave even though we were downdown BIG.) and ty ty once again. I agree we need more REBOUNDS!!!

I also had it in my Nuggets Prediction Contest :D

About the game, it's not really bad, I actually like our depth apart of the bigs... we have to quickly acquire a big. Ideas ideas!

I really love AA, he plays with such passion although he knows he'll probably be only a role player for his whole career... but he gives every possession his all and hard... and he's a much better and committed defender than Dahntay, aside of some stupid bites on Wade's pumpfake.

I love Lawson's defense... he doesn't really gamble, he stays in front of his man, great footwork for a rookie... he uses his speed not only on offense but also in terms of staying between his man and the rim... If he plays the AI way, he can maybe average 20 pts right away now for a sucky team, even for us if he started, but he only wants to play the right way, stay within the team's system, only does what is asked of his role... not tries to do way too much. Great talent, great attitude.

I'd still trade Nene for Gasol... give me a big that will definitely give me 10 rebounds a night. For Nene, it's 13 rebounds this night, and maybe 3 rebounds the next game because "I just played 40 mins last game.. and it's on the road"?? Inconsistency on rebounding from the bigs is our biggest weakness right now, and this is going to be hugely exposed with KMart's injury.

Melo starts to force some stupid shots, but what he's doing different this season is, he's able to compensate with going to free throw line and play some pretty good defense.

Other than that, nothing much to complain, loving the team's 5-1 start. Hoping the team acquire a big now!

And I was one of the few that defended AC, but this season he **** sucks...

That big three pointer against Portland aside, his "defense" is not a justification enough to start him over Afflalo who plays like 50x better defense and 10000x better offense than him.

****, what's happening between him and GK?

Front line is in DANGER! Memphis is overloaded with BIG's gotta get a 7 footer real soon. Not agree with Marc Nene swap though. Any way to get Marc without losing Nene?

AI is causing havoc already down there. Take AI give away AC /at this point better choice for Memphis over AI / then put Malik/Petro on the plate for Marc.

Hope something good comes out of that MRI set on Fri for Martin.

Didnt get a chance to follow the game, disappointed that we lost but is not like we were going to go undefeated for 82 games

From the box score, seems like our starters didnt really produce other than Melo and we had some decent production from AA and Lawson. Wonder if the result would have be different if Kmart didnt get injuried.

Did we beat ourself due to lack of focus or did the Heat improved from last season? They have been one of the suprising team so far this season, playing a good overall team game rather than relying on Wade's brilliance. Seems disappointing that we got thrash while Wade had an medicore game.

Hope Kmart's injury isnt too serious, we really need him in the lineup.

Let's hope the team use this as a wake up call and finish this road trip strong. 1 more game till JR is back!

I mean, if we can acquire Gasol without having to part with Nene, then of course... but I doubt it. If we had to trade Nene to get him, heck let's do it.

While Nene is a very good option down low on most teams, his inconsistency is killing me. 13 rebounds one night and almost guaranteed to be followed with a below 5 rebounds game in the next game. He can score 12 pts in a span of 7 minutes in first quarter, then disappear for the next 2-3 quarters, often for the rest of the game. He can put 20-25 pts and then by the end of the week, his ppg is still 12-14.

His physique is a veteran but his mind is like a 2nd year player, getting too emotional with refs he takes himself out of games with techs too often because the opposing player is too physical. Nene look at the mirror, on most nights, you're the one giving bruises, not the other way around.

Sometimes when you look at him, he's gasping and catching for air... his stamina level is poor... sometimes I fear he would faint from playing 40 minutes north. I don't think Nene is lazy nor putting 20 and 10 is too much work... but I think his mind tells him he's not able to do this every single night when imo he's more than capable of averaging 20 and 10, but he doesn't have the mentality to do it. Somehow he thinks he can't. Nene you can! But if by 8th-9th year, he still can't figure out, maybe it's never meant to be.

I just want a big that consistently boxes out and gives me 10 rpg every night guaranteed... Gasol is far from a stiff offensively, heck I think he's a better offensive player than Nene. I'd take someone who doesn't flash but gets guaranteed 6-8 buckets every game than someone who dunks like it's a big deal when it's still only two points...

I think we're set at 1, 2, 3 spots with Melo, Afflalo, J.R., Billups, Lawson, Carter, Graham, and Balkman. I like the depth actually... but even they can't and shouldn't be responsible for the lack of production from the 4, 5 spots and shouldn't be put in a position like it's become their job to compensate the 4 and 5's missing production. Instead of winning games with spread playing time and effort, now the 1, 2 ,3 guys must do a lot more than they're asked to cover the 4, 5 guys... from being able to win games and maintain level of stamina of players, now the 1, 2, 3 guys must play, claw, and work like hell just to help gut out a win for us. This way, by the end of the season, noone will have any left in the tank... Extending Petro, thinking we could contend with Nene and KMart as starters... really? When it;s too well known they're injury prone...

Right now, without any trades, our only hope imo is Malik Allen. He's a veteran who does dirty in the paint and can get his hands on rebounds, and can drain 15 footers... involve him in pick and roll and gets him open shots... or this early 5-1 good feeling won't last that long.

Wouldn't be too disappointed, Heat are a great team this year.

I don't know about that. I wasn't impressed with their offensive ability, at all. They are a good defensive team(although not quite as good as we made them look last night), which will carry them to the playoffs. But relying on Wade to carry your entire offense while everyone else stands around the perimeter chucking up jumpers....I can't see them contending like that.
