What can the nuggets do in the offseason to improve team?
What offseason do we need to make to be a better team, or can we even afford it?

Re: What can the nuggets do in the offseason to improve team?
At this point, it'd be nice to have:
1.) A very good defensive wing (like Shane Battier) to back up Melo who can score some or at least has the ability to consistently knock down open shots. I think this would be our biggest need now. It's not urgent by any means, but someone who's a lock down defender at this spot as a primary back up for Melo would really make us special imo.
2.) Of course, we need a big also unless Petro shows he can be consistent and can be counted on. Regardless of how well Petro plays, I hope we can acquire DeAndre Jordan, that kid is a great defender, his length matches well with Bynum/ Gasol, always boxes out opponents, and can catch passes and finish with authority.
3.) Then, I believe AC will not be resigned (lol)... and if he isn't, finding that capable 3rd string PG would be important. Eddie House is not a PG by any means, but I think he'd do great as a 3rd string, he can facilitate and definitely shoot. In Boston he showed he was a good teammate who only cares about winning and will do whatever it takes to win. He'll appreciate a chance of playing on another winning team now he's a Knick.
These should come to factor:
- Kenyon will be an expiring next season, although he's indispensable, he's also injury prone and if a great offer that makes us better comes along, we could very well move him
- Will Linas Kleiza be back? I don't think we need him anymore to be honest, we can trade him, more trade chips on the table.
- We should receive interests/ offers for J.R. Smith. Unlikely we trade him unless it's a great trade that makes us better, or J.R. implodes in the playoffs, etc.

1. Retain everyone on the roster except for Allen and AC.
2. A young PF.
3. A 3rd PG.
Not really neccessary but a SF/PF backup like LK would be nice.

Trade for Bosh.....
Trade Martin like Cavs did Big Z. Let the team we trade him to waive him and sign with us 30 days later.
Find a constant wing player (if JR is in the trade for Bosh) If not I still would like to have a constant 2/3 player behind JR and Melo.
Use Petro for extended minutes.

We do not need Bosh.
I would like to see them bring back LK and use him in a sign and trade for a young big, if not maybe they can use the TPE or the MLE to get another young big.
Find a young servicable 3rd pg.

I think we need to see the playoff performances before we make up our minds. Things that may seem logical now may not seem so much after playoffs.
put the ball in the basket like this

a backup like Dorell Wright if we can't get anyone better...a big man of course, I think Tyrus Thomas would be good if we can get him..if not, we should go after Amir Johnson if Raptors can't re-sign him

Kmart +3 million for a resigned Bosh! MLE for Mike Miller. Resign Kmart for vet min!
Billups/Lawson
AA/JR
Nene/Andersen/Petro
Melo/Miller
Bosh/Kmart
LOL.. too many players, Karl will get confused.

There is no way you could land Bosh for Kmart. AC and Malik Allen would have to be resigned and thrown in the deal to sweeten things up.

Trade Kmart for a decent big, then resign him 30 days later. That way, Nene + Decent Big, Birdman, Kmart, and even Petro as a 5th big.
