Nuggets Seem Lost

Post#1 » by God Squad » Wed Mar 31, 2010 2:43 pm

Hey Toronto Native/Raptor fan here. Ever since 2003 I've been a huge nuggets fan. Simply because Carmelo Anthony is my favorite basketball player. I Dont get to watch as many nuggets games as i would like. But My question being. What seems to be wrong with the nuggets? Is it that the lack the front court help? Bad couple games for melo and billiups? Or do you guys believe that the west is just getting better? I was talking with my cousin (Huge) lebron Cavilers fan and I was thinking that they seem really lost without George Karl and Kenyon. Kenyon Helps alot with rebounds and just being out there.

P.S Carmelo's Buzzer Beater on Toronto Made me Cry inside...But Jump For Joy at the same time lol

Welcome to the boards! The problem with us lately seems to be a combination of what you said. First off, Adrian Dantley has done a poor job replacing GK. We need GK back asap! But i think the biggest problem has been our lack of frontcourt help. I actually blame Karl for this more than our GM. I think we have some decent bigs who we never play. Balkman is a guy who filled in very nicely last season when Kmart got hurt. We really could of used him all year. Petro has shown to be a decent backup big, we could of used him some to back up nene. If we played them more during the season, Nene and Birdman would have fresher legs right now and Kmart might not have gotten hurt. Another thing is that the west has gotten better. Right now we are sitting on the 5th spot in the west but we are only a game or two behind our pace last year in which we finished 2nd in the conference! The West is only getting stronger but we have to remember we are still a very good team.

Some of us on here seem to think the season is lost. I'm a little more optimistic than most. I think we have just enough time to pull things back together and start playing ball at the level we were last year

When we trip, we have to get back up. One or two bad passes should lead to smarter passes, not 1 or 2 more bad passes until we have a portfolio of 6 games of bad passing. I think they are disappointed in themselves, confused as to what is wrong, and not sure how to proceed.

Hence the need for a leader to rise up. This is why we need you Chauncey.
