Bulls fan here.

I just wanted to drop by and say I really hope they win a ring for Coach Karl. I'm a radiation therapy student so I'm familiar with the treatment that he's going through. It's a very long and painful treatment as the days go by for him.

I'm not sure what his age is but with the chemo that he's going through along with the radiation treatment, it's going to take a huge toll on his body. Weight loss, fatigue, erythema of the skin are just few of the symptoms.

Since they're treating the head and neck region, it's a bigger field size that they're treating so the radiation can affect the lymph nodes and hopefully shrink/destroy the tumor. I really hope the cancer hasn't metastasized to other nodes in the lymph system or even the bone.

Best of luck to Coach Karl. He's a fighter so I hope he kicks cancers ass the second time. Best of luck to your team. Will be rooting for the Nuggets.

If you guys have any question about Radiation Therapy, I'll do my best to answer it. I'm still learning about the field so I apologize if I don't know some answers.

I've got to be honest. I like AD, I like his demeanor, however it is difficult to just take the reigns completely toward the end of the season because there's a lot of assuming certain things are going to happen and then they don't. GK is a big part of this team and the one thing that everyone can be proud of is that he did get this team in a very good position before this current battle he is undergoing. That one small fact should be enough to keep everyone going.

If AD were ever to begin anew with a brand new season I think he could probably get everything set up to have success. He probably is a very calming influence on the players though and that is pretty important.

That being said I wish Karl strength and the power to get through this. If he's not able to make it back I really hope the players take his coaching seriously. Try to remember what he told them and just do it.

Van Deraa said Saturday that Karl won't return to coach in the regular season, which ends April 13, and "probably not" the first round of the playoffs.
