Honest question: Is all of this Chauncey hate a RealGM-Nuggets things? Or is pervasive throughout the fanbase? Because the national media still kisses his ass, giving him credit for almost anything good that happens with the Nuggets. JR Smith scores 18 points in the 4th quarter of game 1: it's that leadership and maturity that Billups brings; Carmelo goes off for 40+ points: it's because Billups has helped him mature and become a better leader...
Do your local TV/radio guys kiss his ass as much as the national guys?

All the hate? I don't see hate toward chauncey, i see hate towards posters and media that give chauncey all the credit when the Nuggets do well, and none of the blame when **** goes wrong.
As for local media, it is a mixed bag. Some are starting to question the things he has been doing especially this last couple of months, while others are like certain posters on this board and look to blame others for the things chauncey does. Hell in the last week I have heard that it is Melo and Jr's fault that Chauncey suddenly thinks he is AI, that it is actually Dantley's fault that Chauncey decided not to follow the called plays the last minute of game 2, and that Chauncey is actually just too tired from carrying the team throughout the season (despite the fact that the more selfish Chauncey became throughout the season the more they struggled). Fact of the matter is that without Karl Dantley has no control over the team, and Chauncey is playing more for himself then for the team.

Billups is there to help out Melo,no doubt
I'd not blame him taking most of other shots outside of Melo,he's the 2nd best player and 2nd best scorer in this team, but he need to play smarter,he's not a smart player he think he is

Lol I know what Chauncey's game is.....my thing is I believe a player that states he will do whatever it takes to win a given game isn't knocking enough of those big shots in. He's still there, he's still hitting 1 or 2 big shots down the stretches. I kno he's a 6 assist guy. He's not Andre Miller and he's not AI. But - I look at the situation a player is given as well as his abilities. Chauncey is versatile enough to be mixing it up toward the end of crucial moments. He is defaulting waaay too much to the 3 ball.
He needs to realize if he's having a down streak we've got JR and AA and even Ty to knock those down until the RIGHT moment when he can start hitting himself. Plus there are Nene and Melo - Nene who's been stepping up lately, and Melo our ace at game winners. JR can even drive, hell. Just need guys ready to rebound.
Thing about surprise threes.....no one's there to rebound the ball. It leads to fastbreak transition points. It is one of the most backfired plays in basketball.
Chauncey only needs to provide one really sharp dagger late in a game to make an impact with this team. Add in roughly 8 free throws and a few layups, and his 6 assists and you have your championship player right there.
