For some reason, I still have you guys taking it in 7
As a neutral fan who likes Nene/Melo on your team and Deron/Kirilenko on theirs, I just wanted to say that this series for some reason reminds me of the 2003 series between the Magic and the Pistons where T-Mac was glad to finally be in the 2nd round.
Now obviously the Jazz are a better and more well coached team than that Magic squad, but likewise more talented by far are the nuggets compared to that Pistons squad.
Chauncey was a part of that - he had a 40pt game in game 6 on the road, and a 37 point game in game 7. And yet overall that was a pretty awful series for him.
The lakers are still gunna hand it to ya in the 2nd round, though.

Neutral Fan aswell. I'm getting a little bit nervous. Family and friends are alwayz getting at me for being a Denver Supporter. "Ohh its not looking good for your denver nuggets" "they bout to get taken out by gimped Utah". I Dont really care. Still Gonna Be a fan. BUT i am a little down. The nuggets as a TEAM seems lost. Melo is doing what Melo dose. But he needs help. They Seem So0o0o Lost without Karl.

All we need is one player to step up along side Melo... Chauncey, JR, Nene, KMart anyone...
but I don't see it happening.
Billups, JR, KMart, Bird are too damn selfish and dumb for their own good
Nene, Afflalo, and Lawson are either soft or don't do enough.
Honestly just one player needs to step up...

I understand your point, but I disagree. We need 8 players to step up.

Not being a smart ass, just saying it like it is. The team needs to step up.

If we could weather the storm, we could possibly be better than our last year's version. That's overcoming adversity... etc. When we come out each game in this series, we always play well and have a lead in EVERY frickin game... so it's not that it cannot be done.
We just have to sustain that level of play for full 48 minutes.

Hmmm, realistically, I don't see us winning more than one in Denver.

Sorry but the 2003 pistons were a more talented team than the current nuggets:
Hamilton>>>>>Aaflo
Wallace>>>>Nene
Tayshaun<<<<<Melo
pistons bench (had M. Okur)>>>>nuggets bench
and Chauncey was 26 not 33

You've got talented players vs an injured team. Those are as good as odds as any. Denver just has to fix the fundamental issues holding them down. That's pretty much been the way every team that's overcame the deficit has done it, if I understand the general trend correctly. And if it helps: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pylV_2mT7BE. Game 6 between Lakers and Suns during 2006.

Not to mention the Pistons were renown for playing with their backs against the walls...When was the last time the Nuggets won a playoff elimination game?

The Nuggets now obviously are far from the championship Pistons...
hell we've basically emulated that team with a few differences (Eg. fast system).

the pistons didn't win the championship til the year after.
Also, Ben Wallace was a great player, but Melo's a better franchise player.
Anderson/K-Mart/Nene are better than the other bigs that team had.
Hamilton was better than JR/Afflalo, i'll give you that, but JR's had a tough season shooting the ball. If his 3pt shot comes back, the difference is lessened.
Billups wasn't a great player IMO until after his year with larry brown. He's lost a step, but he's much more intelligent now.
Okur was a scrub rookie that year who averafed 7/4
Say what you want about individuals, but this team won 53 games in a dominant west while that one won 50 in the weak east.

What?
It was a fairly dominant West, but I wonder if the weakness of the bottom teams helps those 50+ win records out a little bit. All I know is Nuggets had trouble playing down to the lower echelon teams and beat the great ones. This is stating that the lower echelon teams had nothing to do with the Nuggets accumulating 53 wins this season.
