Please re-sign Anthony Carter for next season

Post#1 » by dunleavyjr » Sat May 1, 2010 9:59 am

Anthony Carter ("AC") would have been Nuggets' secret weapon against Deron Williams. AC is much quicker and more athletic than Billup. AC is one of the toughest defensive point guards in the league. Yes, AC is offensively challenged, but he brings to the floor his pass-first mentality.

It was sad that Nuggets interim coach (whoever he is) refused to use AC. George Karl would have used AC against Deron Williams.

Please, Nuggets, bring back AC for next season. He's willing to settle veteran minimum.

this is serious stuff.
i would love to have ac on the team.

you give him 30-35 minutes per game as a starter, he can easily be
one of the league's top assist man.

billup is a shoot-first guard. you need a pass-first player like ac who
is a genuine pg. with ac's superb passing and carmelo's scoring capability,
nuggets would be hard to beat.

defensively, ac is like a smaller bruce bowen.

Veteran minimum ($ 250,000) isn't really that much money.
I'm sure the Nuggets can easily afford it.

Dunleavy, that isn't even close to the vet minimum. It's not close to the rookie minimum.
