Never pass on the opportunity to have two top 5 talents that can work together.

If they are top five, who are the other 3? Kobe, Lebron, Wade, Howard, Williams, Durant?????? Im trying to figure how Mello or Paul is top 5??

Ok. 3rd team is NYC. Denver gets CP3. We get Melo straight up by himself. We throw in Curry, Chandler, Turiaf, Walker, Douglas + some draft pics for Denver and NOH to divide.

why the heck would cp3 want to come here when there's no melo? and we'd have two all-star point guards. think think think.

and i'm still trying to wrap my head around why every knicks fan is in love with melo right now.

i thought everyone in that city hated him 3.5 years ago. what changed?

Honestly, idont think DEN has anything that can interest NOH except for the expiring, Ty & some late #1s

historically, that's exactly what a team like NOH gets in a situation like this where their star player demands out.

i think he meant top ~12

A couple realistic ideas I think.

W/NO & CHA

or

W/NO & IND

Of course with picks and such going to NOH. I don't understand why the Nuggets aren't being talked about more in this. Sure they have to trade half their team, but I think it's worth the risk if you can get Chris Paul to pair next to Carmelo. Don't see any way either of them don't sign extensions if you find a way to pair them up.

I think Denver can get Paul without giving up Lawson... I think that they wouldn't value him as much as we would... I would think we'd rather give up two future firsts than trade Lawson...

Just give up that idea. Lawson will be traded in any trade for Paul. It's completely silly to think otherwise. Lawson is the most value Denver has to offer.

beefsicle -> I don't think Denver is being mentioned, because Paul respected Billups a lot and doesn't want to be openly talking about taking his job. Plus the media is (Please Use More Appropriate Word) and doesn't care about Denver, lol.

Yeah, I don't think there's anyway to get Paul without giving up Lawson, as him and AA are our only decent prospects still on rookie contracts. And Lawson definitely has more trade value than Afflalo. I think the Nuggets should trade anything outside of Melo and take whatever bad contracts to get CP3. If Melo leaves next year for what Cleveland and Toronto got, the Nuggets are going to be looking at a long rebuild anyways. Might as well push all your chips in to try to get him to stay.

Also, what do you guys think about those trades valuewise? The Indy one could have Paul George going back to NOH instead of Hansbrough too, trade machine just wouldn't let me put him in it.

I don't think it even matters if we're being mentioned... New Orleans can trade Paul wherever they want to... the only thing the list does is make it so other teams prob won't offer as much as those teams b/c if Paul doesn't want to play where he's traded to, then he'll leave in 2 years... that being said, if he were to come to Denver he would def. stay for a while... that and the I don't believe that PAul would actually let a "list" leak... they said the same thing about Bosh... seriously, how would Chris Brousard even get this "list," I think it's pure speculation... that's why I hate most sports media, they speculate and call it rumors/news (like Kizla with the whole Melo trade rumor that spread like crazy and every ESPN writer)
