"better than ever" but it was his career low scoring and he was not near as mobile or impressive on d vs GSW as I was used to. He's slipping,he's 33 mid season, he's CRAZY high $, he's just had another knee job. You are trying to pawn off a 3 legged plow horse as a Derby winner.

Shameful.

You and the PPG's, they never tell close to the whole story. How many times do we need to go over that? Kmart for most of the season looked just as good as his NJ days. He just got overplayed by the coach and got an overuse injury. Played correctly, he will be a blessing to any team that has him (if not Denver). His contract means nothing, it is expiring. He will be a derby winner for whomever gets him.

It's shameful there is a thread that wants to send a center who was injured and shot 16% from the FT to Denver!!! (see I can play the silly boxscore game too)

No way in hell Golden State gives away Turiaf in any Biedrins deal... the whole reason Biedrins isn't in Denver already is b/c GSW is tentative to go into the season with Turiaf as their only center (who could blame them)...

Technically they have Gadzuric and the rookie Udoh on the roster... so they would not be going into the season without a Center if they trade Turiaf. So other than your statement being incorrect you are accurate in that losing Turiaf would hurt the Warriors next year. But it makes sense financially... its not about how it looks on paper... same with moving Ellis. It just has to be done... clear the books... possibly be a player in free agency next summer.

So sure they'll need to sign a center to a one year deal later this summer. But again you might as well just clear cap space and throw the young guys out there and let them play. Either way you aren't going to the playoffs next year. Might as well sign a nice free agent and draft high next summer.

you excpect a team to go into an NBA season with Gadzuric as their only center? (Udoh and Lee are PFs)... the fact that the Bucks preferred to play Kurt Thomas a lot of minutes when Bogut went down over Gadz shows how bad he is... he's probably a vet min guy if he was on the market right now... no way you could justify GSW giving up Biedrins because they have Gadzuric....

Not to mention if they didn't think they were going to compete this year why would they sign David Lee to that big deal? they also just sold the team and I doubt a new owner wants to completely tank in his first year...

I'm not even a GSW fan, but I can't see how anyone can say GSW has a center if they dump Biedrins.

Now I sill think they trade him, but prob at the deadline when they clearly won't make the playoffs. To give up before the season even starts isn't a good move to try to sell tickets.

Martin is 33 and faded. He has no value to GSW,just a waste of money now. He's also redundant.
Playing Lee at C sucks. Giving a West rival the missing piece they need...for nothing? Why do that?

Which will be what GSW thinks, especially since they DO need Biedrins at C and K Mart is a lot of money to waste.

I was under the impression that Golden State wanted to save money, and was having a "Fire Sale".

The team has just been sold.

Whatever the motives for the mix of cheap, shortsighted, counterproductive moves GM Riley made,he's now a lame duck and I doubt he has authority to just blunder about. I think he was just trying to pad his resume. Up to the Lee deal, all he did was trade starters for DNP types,20 pt scorers for 2 pt scorers. Lee was at least a guy with credentials. Lee's bad D makes him as poor of a choice as Al Jefferson would have been, especially since the fool traded 3 younger players, all lower $ and all a + on D.

At some point, wrecking the product means fewer tickets sold, less interest, less revenue in. You can only cut payroll so low. Nobody ,of 30 teams seems to aim to have a loser hovering at the CBA payroll minimum indefinitely. You can't bring in kids to fill spots at $8 hr. GSW took "cheap" beyond the level that was wise..then blew the $ saved anyhow. Riley did manage to trade for a guy the East Coast Media has called a "Star"....even if NY fans are amazed GSW blew their future to overpay for a Guy the Knicks did not plan to keep. Riley wanted IMAGE..not SUBSTANCE and a lot of fans don't know the difference.

Kenyon Martin has not brought "image" for several years, which is why, even with a warped agenda,he was not considered a return worth anything.

K-Mart is entering his declining career and he is taking that kind of money.

Nuggets shold stop paying over-rated players.

Look at your roster.

thank you captain obvious. perhaps you should have chimed in 6 years ago instead of today. I dont see anyone denying that KMart is overpaid. And looking at our roster, who else is over paid?

If you have no idea what you are talking about, you shouldn't post. Kmart was jumping like his NJ days and was having his best year in Denver until he got overplayed with a minor injury that became bad. That isn't declining.

And yes, why don't you look at the roster. The only overpaid player is Kmart, but he is expiring now. Unlike Lee. Enjoy that overpaid player.

What are you guys talking about? Clearly Kenyon is a $17 million player. Even he said he earned every penny and will take every penny.
