I think it is pretty much a forgone conclusion that Melo is gone, with the new GM coming into the mess to reload.

I noticed that Orlando is not really mentioned in this thread that much. I believe that the Magic have some good trade assets. Even better by the Dec. 15 because the other players like JJ, and all the other new signings this year are available to be traded. Orlando should have plenty of picks as well, and can operate a 3 team trade to dump VC's expiring contract to acquire even more talent or more draft picks from the 3rd team. If Melo were to come to Orlando, then I think that he would complete the team. I really think that the team is really close to being complete, but they are a Star SF away from being a complete team. That has really been a weak spot since Hedo left. As long as we don't give up too much to get Melo, we should have a great team. Plus, it would really give Orlando a very good shot at CP3 later. I know I am biased being a Magic fan, but I still think we can offer a lot compared to almost all other teams. I think that the Magic can get it done with a 2 team trade, but I think that the Magic will most surely need a 3rd team to seal the deal. What do yall think?

What u guys fail to realize is it not who can offer u the most it were Melo wants to go. No1 wants Melo without a extinsion agreement. So if he does say NY what are Nuggets going to do hold him hostage for a reason or take a nice young player or 2 from US i NY.

I know this is New york fans favorite line, but who is to say exactly who Melo will sign an extension with? Not only that who is to say what team may want him as a rental with the hope of convincing him to sign the extension later?

The Knicks gave up a recent lotto pick, a future lotto pick, and the option to swap lotto picks just to get a useless expiring for a two year deal. If nothing else the Nuggets could get at least that.

Return to Denver Nuggets
