Nene available?

Post#1 » by radtech » Wed Sep 15, 2010 5:29 pm

There was some interests before in acquiring Andris Biedrins, is it still? And by adding Brandan Wright, will that be enough for the Wariors to get him?

I believe that the interest the Nuggets had in acquiring Biedrins was by trading KMart's deal. Biedrins was wanted to play next to Nene with Nene moving to his natural position of PF. I doubt he is made available at this point.

Even if he was, I don't know that adding in a PF that has been basically injured for 2 years is going ot be enough to trade Nene for Biedrins.

I don't think Nene is available, but I think Denver would trade him for a good true center like Chris Kaman

You got it wrong. Denver was interested in robbing GS of Biedrins with Kenyon. We weren't actually interested in giving a better player for him. Given the situation with Melo, I say Kenyon's contract ending after this year is probably more beneficial to us.

True...most of the deals suggested were of the stealing candy from a baby nature. And in that context it was hard to see K Mart as very interesting bait.....not to mention the folly of doing a lopsided deal in conference where a team supplies a rival a 24 yr old starting C...for nothing.

Nene for Biedrins is more lateral move. GSW should say no as Nene is a 7 !/2 reb guy, Biedrins is a 10-11 reb guy, plus Nene will have a player option, and that adds a complication,is more $, is older, has had a knee job. Denver's main issue might be that their bigs don't score much and nene scores a little more than Biedrins.

Bad for GSW...probably not what Denver really wants (unless it's a sucker deal sending K Mart or JR Smith)
CENSORED... No comment.
