While I don't know if we will get him I am always for adding more size, depending on what the Nuggets get back in a Melo deal another big could not hurt.

well....if we get favors, then i'm all for adding as little size as possible for the near future. can't give karl any other options than to play the rookie.

You and I both know Karl will play Sheldon Williams over Favors if he does not like they way Favors has his haircut. I would much rather have Dampier stealing the kids minutes as opposed to Williams.

wow jay_dnuggs that's not ok to say man.

I highly doubt Dampier comes here. He's looking to sign with a contender and that doesn't seem like the direction we're heading in.

Gotta chime in on this.

I would like to have Dampier here. Perhaps he's the big body we need off the bench to compete for a championship WITH melo.

That said - Jay_DNuggs - that sh&t is not welcome on this board. just about every person I can think of knows someone that has died of cancer, you insensitive prick. Maybe I'm overreacting to this, and it wasn't with a bad intent that you posted what you did, but I for one will not tolerate that on ANY board. Have some respect for your fellow man.

Damp is a big that can rebound, block shots, and finish.

Which of those teams can offer the LLE?

Dampier would be huge for this team. We could use a quality big who can defend. A Damp/Nene frontcourt with Birdman and Kmart coming off the bench ain't bad.

Would a Nene, KMart, Bird, Al, Damp be too much though?

Agreed.

Depends on how long Bird and Kmart are out, but I would not be against trading either of them for some future assets if we could get Dampier. I am tired of watching the Nuggets get pushed around by big bodies once Nene leaves the court.

I wouldn't have minded landing Damp about 20 years ago, but now he is a washed up version of his former self. It would be like getting Hunter all over again, he would ride the pine for a season, still be under contract and then be traded away with a first round pick just for the sake of trading him.

Apologies on the out of line comment. Did not have bad intent, just that team"s late drama and Karl's history dogging on Rookies regardless of their talent got me on the edge.

Damp is one of my favorite big man. Even Shaq had tough time try to post him up. REally hope we get him.

I really feel bad for you guys, because you actually think Ujiri is going to trade Melo to NJ and for who Favors?, Murphy, and Humpries? Think about it dude allegedly Ujiri was asking for Lopez and/or Harris, (which is still a bad trade because even with both of them NJ only won 12 games). But ok they were asking for those 2 at first, and now you have basically downgraded the demands to Favors (unproven), Humphries(so-so), and Murphy (inconsistent). It doesn't make sense even with a 1st round pick involved. You guys are in for a long ride. :noway:

You and I both know it depends on if Nene has his big girl panties on, I have seen him not give an inch to a younger Shaq and Duncan, hell he even pushed around Howard a couple of times, but then most games he gets pushed around by your average NBA scrub big man.

Ya exactly, and I have a feeling now that we will no longer be "contenders" he's gonna take off a lot more nights.

he's got a player option this year, and may want to be the focal point of the offense, meaning I think he may get another pair or two of those panties and actually produce to his potential this season.
