a big thanks for Lawson, JR and Ely for blowing a 8 point lead with poor bench production.

As soon as Rose was not defended by Afflalo anymore, he was free to do whatever he wanted. Great call, George Karl.

What is going on with Billups, Afflalo and Lawson? They're not playing well on offense...

we owe this loss to chauncey. he had 2 game changing turnovers. put him on the bench man.

This game is a good indication of a need to rebuild.

We're not going to get out of the first round this year. The team sucks.

Billups is playing washed up. Lawson has been sucking this season but he is our future PG and honestly we should start him.

AA, JR and Al are too inconsistent.

Why didn't Nene play in the 4th? Did he re-injure his groin?

Hell of a game for Nene and Melo, and Afflalo did okay outside of his bad shooting, but why the hell did Karl take Afflalo off of Rose. Too bad Chauncey forgot how to play the last 4 minutes of the game, or that the bench suddenly forgot how to move the ball and shoot, it would have been a nice win.

Also what happened to Lawson's outside shooting?

fwiw, and i know its not a fail-proof stat and i'm an afflalo fan, but afflalo was somehow -25 tonight. meaning in the 12 minutes he wasn't on the court, the team was +23

After the game, when I looked at the stats, that is the stat that stood out the most for some reason, and it is weird because he had a decent stat line himself. I think it reflects on the matchups, if you look at what Bogans did on Billups during this same stretch, it seems to explain a lot of it

Poor execution down the stretch also hurt. Turnovers and running the same baseline play through different players wasn't working Harrington, Melo, Ely and Afflalo all got rejected at the rim late in the game.

He played Afflalo as SF with Billups and Lawson in the backcourt, which meant that Afflalo couldn't defend Rose anymore.
Bad decision! There wasn't any need to have Billups and Lawson on at the same time, both haven't been playing well.

I'm confused about taking Afflalo off Rose too. I know GK is trying to win with speed vs. size while half our bigs are healing up, but speed doesn't matter if they're not playing with confidence and sharpness.

I'm also a bit disappointed the bench did not take Melo's production and secure the victory. He put down a furious rush to help get the team back in it offensively and defensively......bench guys and GK have to be ready to take advantage of games like these.

Also.....if Melo is the hot hand......keep going through him until he cools off. Yeah you want to distribute production but if everyone else is stinking it up then just go through the one guy that's getting it done. Doesn't mean the next game Melo won't need the bench to step it up....just means bench is playing poorly and Melo had the hot hand.

Can't be afraid to go to the hot hand no matter how much everyone wants to represent "team" - part of that is knowing when to not ignore the hot hand just because it comes through a proven superstar or whatever. Go through the man, he had the Bulls defense figured out.
