Lawson

Post#1 » by Piston Pete » Thu Jan 20, 2011 4:18 pm

As a Pistons fan, I know Lawson could be a big part of your future, and I don't mean to "troll." I am merely interested in a trade idea that might benefit both teams.

I would not touch that deal. given the way next years draft looks right now, I don't really think we could get a better player next year, even with a good lottery pick.

I should also point out that there were plenty of rumors that the Nuggets turned down more then 1 deal to get a top 10 lotto pick in the past draft for Lawson, where the draft looked much better going in.

I would not make that trade either. Lawson plays in a very efficient style at PG. Really liked him coming out of school and he has played great as a backup.

Is it possible to call the Nuggets GM stealing Ty Lawson from the Wolves a Pritchslap? That's really what it felt like. I'm a big Ty fan and was stoked when MN drafted him and subsequently crushed when Kahn traded him to you guys. (You guys don't happen to like Jonny Flynn do you???)

Flynn would make a good backup to Lawson in Denver, once they move chauncey.

I really don't understand why he does not get more respect, it is funny watching the game threads on the general board when the Nuggets have a national game, so many seem shocked at how well he plays, yet he has received no recognition.

Lawson, Nene, Afflalo, and Smith are currently the only bright spots in the Nuggets' future (assuming Melo leaves of course). I can't see them trading/not-signing any of them unless it's for cap space, and Lawson will be much cheaper than Smith or Nene.

Count me in with the Nuggets fans who were pleasantly surprised with Lawson's play. I didn't have much faith in him coming into last season, but it's obvious Denver management made a great steal when it acquired him. It's a shame that injury slowed his progress; imagine how good he'd be right now if he had played all last year.

Return to Denver Nuggets
