Kinda funny how Denver ran the same play like 5 times in a row and scored in 5 different ways.

Also, you can see how people fear Jr Smith. Atlanta commentators were saying the same thing NOLA said 2 days ago "OMG you DO NOT WANT TO LET HIM GET HOT"

and then jr makes 2 3s in a row and you can see their frustration... "oh my, not JR again" haha

PS: Don't you think Karl Took Nene too early in the first quarter? That ignited the Hawks run... He was 1-5 but he was playing good D, the refs just weren't calling fouls in the first quarter.

Didn't get to watch the game, but the box score looks pretty solid all around. I love that we were able to hold Atlanta under 90 points.

Good start to the road trip. Every day in between games gets more and more painful, this team is just so much fun. Hopefully we can take at least one of the next two games in Florida.

first time cheering for MIA :)

If we can go hard and roll in ORL then, MIA is very possible to get.

Too bad Denver delayed the trade too much (they probably thought the team would take some time to mesh and wanted to have a good record to guarantee the playoff spot.

If the trade was done 2 weeks earlier this team would fight with Dallas for the 3rd seed.

But of course the trade couldn't be as good...

wow. (again)

this teams defense can be ridiculously stifling. there were a lot of atlanta halfcourt plays where they made solid pass after solid pass, penetrated, drew the defense and kicked, set a good pick and hit the most open man, rotated the ball from side to side....but a nuggets player was there every time with a hand up either with a great contest or preventing a shot entirely. marvin williams got loose a couple times, and josh smith was left open beyond 18 feet all game.....but that's fine. let them try to win the game from that distance. there were a crap load of possessions where we got them to under 5 seconds on the shotclock...and they were still 28 feet from the rim going against a set defense. that's hard to beat.

also have a couple minute lapses each game where everyone forgets how to set good picks and be aggressive towards the rim and we start shooting passive jumpers. then karl yells at them to go to the rim, and after that timeout it's game over for the other team as lawson's blurring into the paint and nene's dunking on peoples heads.

nene's block on zaza should be top 5 in blocks of the year.
jr's been a nice closer the past couple games
and afflalo hit a couple key shots to keep things afloat when atlanta made some runs.

I have no complain about how this trade came down and when or whatever since it was best possible outcome after all said and done.

The way this team is playing

^^ About the rotations: I remember one in the first quarter that Atlanta moved the ball so GOOD that even the dead crowd got agitated and you could hear them cheering. They went inside, outside, left, right, etc, but at the last pass to the corner 3 there was a Denver player right in front of the Hawks player stopping the shot... Haha.

That was funny a hell.

Yeh, I know...

It's just a "what if"...

Kinda unlucky for you guys that OKC also got better after the AS break but as you said, nuggets' fans can't complain about anything for at least one full year

As a laker fan I just wish you don't finish lower than 5th :D I sincerely do not want to face denver in the first round.

The Nuggets had to wait as long as they did, without waiting they do not end up with half the players that they got from the Knicks. Melo had to blink 1st, and force the Knicks into realizing that he did not want to be a Knick bad enough to give up the guaranteed money with the extension.
