Chandler wasnt coming back after this year, Felton was going to be gone after 2012.
So really the lone pieces lost are Mozgov, Gallo and the picks.

Sorry but that is just a total rationalization to look at assets under contract like that. By that standard you could say Melo wasnt coming back and Billips was gone after 2012 so the Knicks gave the Nuggets Gallo and Moz and a 2014 first round pick for nothing. The Knicks could have always done a sign and trade deal for Chandler and or Felton. Besides Walsh said he wanted to give Chandler a contract extension. Walsh wouldnt let a 16ppg guys who plays defense walk away for free.
