Our Players in China

Post#1 » by dis4ryan » Tue Nov 29, 2011 7:43 pm

Does anyone know the status of our players in China (JR Smith, Kenyon, Chandler)? Recent article said their Chinese teams won't let them leave which is what they agreed to when they signed. Thanks.

There have been talks about them forcing their way out, but the CBL apparently can just suspend them with no pay if they try that so they are probably stuck their until March. Who knows though, they might find a loophole to get them cut.

i'm pretty sure they're staying. i think the chinese league doesn't allow opt out clauses because it'd jeopardize the cohesiveness of the team.

i'm hoping we get a miracle like jazz got last year with the draft.

we just need to trade some of our players. wilson chandler, once the china season is over can give us a decent pick. we could even trade andre miller for a draft pick. trade chris anderson to the heat or lakers for their late first rounder. theres alot of ways to build up picks. trade gallo for the minny pick. keep costs low and play this offseason safe. rebuild through the draft. get a pick for nene. at this point i'd solely focus on trying to pick up draft picks for the 2012 draft.
