OT: Snowstorm...mini-blizzard in Denver

Post#1 » by Yoga » Thu Feb 2, 2012 12:53 am

I'm not from Denver or Colorado, but I just saw on the yahoo front page, that Denver is going to be hit by a snowstorm on Thursday night and all day Friday...6-12 inches.

I wonder if it will affect Denver's games against the Lakers on Friday or Portland on Saturday, in terms of being able to reach the airport or leaving it. In Denver's case, its probably better if one of the games are cancelled -- as it is a brutal back2back2back.

Let's hope we get one as much as we had back in 2003 :D

6 inches of snow over the 36 hours is not really all that much, and would not shut down the city. Hell even a full 12 inches is not all that bad for the predicted time frame.

every time i look at the weather they say it's gonna snow in the next day or two. hasn't happened for over a month. so i'll believe snowflakes when i see them....until then, i'll be golfing.

and as far as the nuggets go, colorados & dia are pretty well equipped to handle a foot of snow. shouldn't affect any games at all except for the attendance because people don't want to drive through a bunch of snow to see the den/lal game.

agreed on dia. i work there part time when not going to school, other than the irritating cold, the run ways, vehicle service roads, the ramp, is never closed down due to snow. delayed at best (worst).
