Same place the rumors of Gallo and Mozgov being unhappy in denver a few months ago, new Yorkers and their writers just do not understand how anybody could be happy in denver, and seem to have made some major assumptions.

LOL you dont wnat to start that. There is a long history on the Knicks board of us arguing over who is better and why lol.

I hope he does resign with you guys and I hope he performs well. I was a huge fan of his and I think he'll compliment your group of guys well again when he gets back.

I believe we need his team to make the playoffs so that it forces him to be a RFA for next season as well, rather than sit around and walk at the end of the season.

Wilson's coming home early. That will be helpful. Hopefully we can get a good deal done with him rather quick and get him back in the lineup.

I don't know why we'd mess with the lineup. We know about Miller, but can we at least play the season out and watch this crew finish? I'm not sure Denver has won Chandler over yet so I hope the passion is there.

Start messing with the pieces too much right now and we may very well see a cohesion decline.

We got everything we needed, why be greedy? The offseason there'll be plenty of times to make moves.

I disagree this team is a long way from having everything they need. We need a shotblocker, a guy who can rebound, and someone who can create his own shot, all things chandler brings. If he really is not happy here he can sign the one year deal, or he can sign here for long term with the idea that he will be traded next summer. but either way this team needs Chandler badly.

Hopefully we can have him back by the end of the week. Wonder what sort of deal we will offer him...

True Story:
http://thestar.blogs.com/raptors/2012/0 ... ooing.html

Toronto has 15 players though and would need to release one to make an offer on Chandler. I'm not sure if that has to be done prior to making the offer or not, but if they make an offer after cutting someone, the Nuggets could easily match and Toronto would be out that player unless they are then able to resign them. Hopefully the Raptors love for former Nuggets doesn't mean they offer him a ridiculous contract.

Story today is Denver is not going to offer a deal for the remainder of the year. Long term or nothing.
Now Chandler is checking out Toronto, but his agent said that now he's considering sitting the rest of the year out and wait til the offseason

His best play if he wants to be unrestricted in the offseason would be to sign an offer sheet for a 1 year deal with a team, forcing the Nuggets to match if they want him for the year. He wouldn't make much money this year, but would have a free choice in the offseason. Sitting out would just make him restricted again this summer.

If this is true, it's time to look for S&T options.

he got a free shirt? he must be a lock for them.

he's just leveraging an offer, or he must be feeling suicidal.

Return to Denver Nuggets
