Whats up with Afflalo?

In todays game, Afflalo just looked lost, confused and had zero confidence. He missed 2 open shots in the 4th that would have kept Denver's lead secure, and for the 3rd game in a row his contribution has slipped. He was beating himself up over it on the bench and you could tell he's not himself.

Coming into camp late didn't help and playing 3 games in 3 nights would be difficult, but I expected Afflalo to be game ready, and his shot just doesn't look too good at the moment. Last 3 games are:

26 mins, 4/10 for 13 pts
31 mins, 2/7 for 6 pts
26 mins, 2/8 for 4 pts

Whats more surprising is that he's just 3/16 from deep = .187%

We all know that when a shooter is in a slump, you keep shooting and eventually the shots will fall.

I hope AAA gets it together soon, because Miller, Rudy and today Brewer - all ate into his minutes. And George Karl will go with the players that are contributing well.

Not in game shape (didn't play for an international team in the offseason came to training camp late).

He'll get there soon.

Someone i would not worry too much this early. His shots will come back eventually not too soon.

He is rusty,but in general there is no way he is worthy that contract.. He is 3-4 millions overpaid., so is nene..

Afflalo is paid just about right, Nene may be slightly overpaid but so are most bigs.

what? he said he didn't even play basketball in the summer 'cause he was afraid of getting injured and without a contract signed...

can you imagine his situation? a knee injury would cost him millions and millions of dollars, and this is his first big contract.

calm down a bit.

he'll get in game shape by the mid of the season...

oh, and his D already looks great.

Understand the caution AAA taken before signing a contract but mark it down that he will get into a groove pretty soon. He is a born grinder & it is natural when it comes to working hard to him.

Hahaha.. nice joke. No, 1st he will go with his favorites if he can get away with it. 2nd he goes for the players who contribute well.
