Chandler is more of a 3/4 than he is a 2/3.

w chandler was at the nuggets / boston game last night. He hung out near the tunnel the whole time. Fan beside me got his autograph. Looks like its all but done, not sure why its not "official"

Turiafs buy out probably has somewhat held things up.

no, i think it's because nene had not taken his physical yet, which makes the trade unofficial. the trade has become official this morning and the nuggets have waived turiaf. hopefully we sign chandler today so that he can play monday on national tv.

it certainly is...I'm a Raptors fan (Denver is my 2nd fav. team) and this forum is a ghostown compared to the Raps one...I like it though
if you really wanna have some good discussions when the nuggets are playing, head on over to denverstiffs. very active and a really funny bunch of people there.

good contract. Now hopefully it doesn't take him too long to get in the swing of things.

what ? you're better than that.

where'd moz go? starter to nothing? mcgee shouldn't get 28 minutes a night until he shows his basketball iq improves, especially because we have 3 other capable centers....and on that note...
harrington should get zero minutes at C. we have 4 centers, 3 of which are over 7 feet tall, along with one of the best rebounding big men in the game (faried). there's not one reason i can think of why harrington should ever play center.
chandler should get more than 21mpg. more like 30.
and this move should relegate brewer to the bench unless he's needed for energy against bad teams.

lawson(33)/Miller(15)
Afflalo(30)/Chandler(10)/Brewer(5) or miller(5)
Gallinari(32)/Chandler(16)
Faried(28)/Harrington(15),Chandler(5)
Mcgee(28)/Mozgov(15)/Harrington(5)

There should really be no reason for karl to use a 2pg lineup, but he still will anyways. Let's face it guys brewer should only be inserted into games if we are lacking energy.

lawson (35), miller (13)
afflalo (32), chandler (12), miller/brewer for scraps
gallo (32), chandler (16)
faried (23), harrington (21), chandler leftovers
mcgee (24), mozgov/koufos split the other 24

rudy/brewer/bird can fight for the scraps and ride the pine.

need to get dre off the court as much as possible. i'd much much MUCH rather run a big lineup of lawson/chandler/gallo/faried/moz than anything involving dre & ty or harrington & faried.

we now have an ability to absolutely dominate on defense with length, shot altering & rebounding. those aspects of the game are so much more important to winning, and winning in the playoffs than anything dre brings to the court.

If I remember correctly, quick shooting guards give Chandler fits; so it depends on the matchups. Against bigger 2's Chandler will play but then what about Rudy? Isn't he more likely to back up the 2 with his 3 point attempts and ball handling. Chandler on his game is a starter but Denver has a lot of starters. Karl will probably try different combinations until something works. Faried works, so he will start as long as he doesn't become a defensive liability against certain veteran forwards. He will continue to improve defensively. I can't say the minutes but the lineup looks like:

Lawson, Miller
Afflalo, Fernandez Chandler will play here some.
Gallo, Chandler, Brewer
Faried, Harrington, Birdman Koufos will play some at PF.
Mcgee, Mozgov, Koufos I doubt Mcgee starts right away though.

That's thirteen with Birdman and Brewer sitting a lot. Fernandez also will have to sit when Chandler plays the 2. I doubt Mcgee starts right away though.

So is this signing nothing more than gathering assets?

Lawson (34) - Backup PG (14)
Afflalo (32) - Shooter (12) - WC (4)
Gallo (34) - WC (14)
Faried (20) - WC (10) - AL (18)
McGee (24) - Kosta (20) - Faried (4)

I would LOVE Kendall Marshall in the draft, and Danny Green or Jodie Meeks as the shooter.

Does anyone ever get the minutes break down right? I think we always think GK will suddenly stop acting like GK.

This team is back to having a ridiculous amount of depth. And everyone is getting healthy just in time for a playoff push. Karl has his hands full with figuring out a rotation that'll keep everyone happy. In theory, this should mean the end of Miller playing the 2 to close out games, but we know damn well Karl is going to keep doing it anyway.
