I for one am a big fan of Brewer, and I hate to admit it, but Coach GK needs to keep using Brewer off the bench as the 'energy guy'. He's not effective as a starter and often gets lost on the court amongst the likes of Ty, Chandler, Faried and Afflalo. Thats not entirely his fault, its just not the role he's ideal for on this particular team. GK has often said that Brewer is the best energy player and cutter on this team, and was a steal for the Nuggets.
Brewer did an admirable job as a starter when Gallo went down with his ankle injury and put up modest numbers - 3 rebs, 2 asts and 12.6 ppg. But his shooting and effectiveness is not the same as when he plays 20 or so minutes off the bench. Brewer is a slasher, cutter, runner, and when he starts, he seems to just stand in the corner waiting to shoot a three. He actually plays better alongside Dre, Al, Bird, McGee. As a sub, he shoots 48% from the field and 34% from three land, along with 8 ppg in 17 mins.
Lately though, Brewer has kept his three point attempts down - 13 over last 9 games. He's also passing the ball a lot better - 25 assists and 10 steals with just 5 TOs over last 10 games.
With Gallo and Rudy lost to injury, I hope Brewer continues getting consistent mins, but as a substitute.

I the less Brewer plays the better. This is not an indictment of brewer, but he is squeezing Jordan Hamilton out of the rotation. On most NBA teams Brewer is a good 15 minute player. He is a nice spark, he plays OK defense and hustles. Jordan Hamilton can shoot, run the fast break and rebound much better than brewer. I believe Hamilton should be getting all of brewers minutes.
