Should Mozgov start instead of Koufos?

Post#1 » by Yoga » Sun Apr 29, 2012 11:52 pm

Mozgov is soft mentally and hasn't shown much this year, but he did play well in games against Los Angeles, New York and Miami.

Maybe he performs on the biggest stages?

Perhaps we should go with a combo of Koufos at Power forward and Mozgov at Center to counter the Los Angeles bigs?

I say yes. Give him the first 6 mins of the game and see how he does.

Even Birdman should get 5 mins, to attempt to block shots and commit hard fouls.

I dont like the idea of starting Mozzy and Koufos together when Faried is quicker and can score points more efficiently. But Al Harrington MUST stop taking bad shots, he was 2/4 from three and 2/10 from two.

WTF happened to McGee? He almost dunked on Gasol, then missed everything after that. Where were the pick n roll plays and lobs?

Mozgov has the body of a bear...for the first 6 mins of the game, have him lay down two hard fouls on Gasol.

If we use Birdman for a few mins -- he should just be a "enforcer" and like you said block shots and commit hard fouls.

I would like to experiement with a power forward of Koufos and and center of Mozgov to begin the game. We are now 1-4 against them this season...it doesn't hurt to try different lineup combinations, especially to go big against their lineup

I think that Mozgov did a pretty good job on Bynum last night.

I agree, Moz did a pretty good job of frustrating Bynum and playing him physically, but he's just so incapable on the offensive end. I swear he has the worst hands in the league at times.
