Kenneth Faried + McGee ( after u sigh him long term in the summer)

Would u do that trade?

i wouldn't...

at least not yet. i don't know what type of impact mcgee will have here plus letting go of faried is risky.

you don't trade away the all time leader ncaa rebounder who passed tim duncan, especially in his rookie year. faried now supposedly developing great chemistry with lawson could mean locking them up long term. i think patience here is the key.

+1. He's too young to trade him already, besides, i hate Bosh with a passion.

I think the Lakers playoffs series is showing that we need to address two things in the offseason - a center and a shooter.

I don't know if McGee is our long term starting center as he has a ton of things he needs to work on but I haven't given up on him and would like to re-sign him to a good deal. I'd like to see us go after a post player through trades or in the FA. If the Jazz are willing to trade Al Jefferson I would give them an offer. Heck, even at this stage Chris Kaman doesn't seem to be a bad option since all he is good for is post offense.

Getting a reliable shooter is another area to address. We need a guy that can come in, and be able to hit 3-5 threes in an instant to turn the tide. JR did that well for us (in fact I'd say AA and JR were one of the best SG rotations in the league for the past few years). A guy like Brandon Rush, Kyle Korver, Steve Novak would be great for us.

With that being said, would you be interested in a Marcus Thornton - Wilson Chandler swap?

I would do that, don't know that the Kings would though.

i think wilson chandler has to be the most valuable and easiest piece that can be let go, taking into account team chemistry and whatnot..

i don't like thornton. i'd rather see what big men are available.

I don't see Chandler having enough value to get an upgrade at the 4 or 5, young bigs, especially centers have way to much value for a guy like chandler who has struggled since he left NY and has had some injury problems.

While Thornton is undersized and horrible on defense, he is a damn good scorer and solid 3 point shooter, something this team really needs off the bench, and he would make a good partner with stone as the 2nd string backcourt.

for the bigs, I think you are going to have to get them through a trade, but I think you are better off using the TPE to do it. the TPE is going to be the most valuable piece the Nuggets have when it comes to tradeable assets this summer, as the stricter salary cap and luxury tax will kick in 2013. Teams are going to want to cut salary this next year if they are not contending.

Due to Tyreke's low trade value and the probability of not being able to pick MKG, I think moving Thornton would be the most logical move. And also since they've clearly shown that they're too afraid of moving him to the bench and having him as the sixth man (which, because of his defense, is what he realistically is). But then again, that's what I think, not sure what the management's plans are.

I would jump all over Chandler for Thornton. I'd even throw in our first.

Still don't know if the Kings do it.

The Nuggets need a star, they need a top 20 player if they're going to move to the next level. I think it's clear that the next star isn't on the roster now (Don't try to tell me Ty or Gallo, it's not going to happen.)

Aside from Deron WIlliams no young star is a free agent this year. The only way the Nuggets can attain that star is tanking or packaging 2 or 3 guys that we have now for one. I don't see an established star coming our way so unless we tank it's going to be one and done until the cows come home....
