Nice to see the Nuggets not just fold for once. Game 6 should be insane.

How is retirement treating you :) Good to hear from you.

Stick around till be bring down LA.

I would give McGee 13$ Million after this postseason is done and dusted.

Would you pay more than $13M? He a big so I wouldn't be surprise if there's a team out there that will give him more. He's young so there's plenty of teams that are in the rebuilding and would spend on JaVale.

If we win West, yes i would hope FO pays him more than 13M.

I am thrilled to see what happens in this series rest of the way. We got dedicated group believing & that is a dangerous sign for LA. I want to see MWP !

yep. execs love to overpay the hell out of guys who have a good playoff series. especially if they're 7 feet tall.

after that deandre jordan contract, the minimum mcgee gets is 11-12 million now.

By the way was anybody watching the Altitude? they said Karl told the team to slow down with about 5 minutes left in game time, which is exactly when the Lakers went on that run, when you are pulling away from a team why would you decide to go away from what is working.

i was watching on tnt....and i don't believe anyone that says karl told a team to 'slow down'

there's just no way that happened.

It amazes how consistently stupid NBA GMs are to let a game or two affect their overall opinion of a player. You see it all the time with draft prospects who have a couple nice games during march madness and get drafted way too high as a result. As well as NBA players who have a good playoff series and turn it into a huge payday.

There is absolutely no reason why anyone who thought McGee was only worth 8 mill per a week ago would now be willing to pay him 50% more based off a couple great games. It's not like he suddenly improved by that much. Now, I will say that you should probably weigh big performances in a playoff game higher than a big performance in some random game in January....but, a few playoff games also sure as hell aren't the equivalent of 300 regular season games. And yet, that always seems to end up being the case.

McGee's unlimited upside right now our only real hope of getting far in the playoffs. He's shown this series that he can dominate playoffs games.

Nene for example would never dominate in the playoffs because his body is already in physical decline and even at his peak, he never carried the Nuggets to a playoff series win. He contributed but was never the difference maker. We see that McGee is showing that he is actually a difference maker in the playoffs.

Off the top of my head I think the most McGee can get is 4 years, so while a ton of money and risk, it will not be as bad as the KMart deal was. Personally I think he gets a 4yr $42 million deal like Jordan's

Home team can give 5 years. If we chose to let the market dictate his contact we will be paying him 4 yrs, otherwise we will probably work out a 5yr deal at a slight discount. Im hoping for a 5yr-46m, but I think someone will offer him 4yr-44m. It might be worth matching.

I agree, I think 10 mil/year is his value. Everything less is a steal, everything more is overpaying him.

Denver has an advantage because it's the team that faces the lower risk with McGee. He likes the team, the coaching staff, and is fitting in very well. Not sure the same would happen in other places, especially if in rebuilding mode.

Btw, McGee is really a good kid. He doesn't deserve all the crap that the media threw at him.

If McGee gets 10 he should give Miller 3, he doesn't have that big game without all the lobs from miller.

It's going to be interesting to see where Miller ends up, and for how much.

Predictions?
