Julyan Stone out for 5 months

Post#1 » by Ice32 » Tue Jul 17, 2012 10:15 am

Stone has suffered the same injury that Wilson Chandler had, and is expected to be out for up to 5 months, meaning he won't be back until the 2013. Denver now has to make a decision on whether to keep him on the shelf, or give rookie Evan Fournier a chance to show his PG ability and go with him.

Reports also on the Nuggets using their amnesty option on Chris Anderson who has 2 years and 9 million left, possibly to make room for FA Anthony Randolph.

Some questions:

We have three 7 footers in Mozzy/Koufos/McGee - do we trade 1 of them?
Is Wilson Chandler needed with Gallo/Afflalo/Brewer on the roster?
Is Andre Miller the best backup PG option to Lawson?
Is Harrington healthy and/or able to play a full season at the PF spot?

Trade Moz. His value is pretty much as high as it has been after he played Bynum well. Trade him for cap and a 2nd. Amnesty bird. Wait to Sign McGee (his cap hold is only 5 milion) so we have extra cap room. Package that cap room with assets (chandler) and get a better player back.

McGee has yet to sign.....maybe trade moz
Chandler will be needed to score off the bench if Big Al is hurt
Yes Miller>>>>>Stone
Harrington isn't healthy now, just had knee surgery. Still has a few months.

Let stone go and make room for someone that can play

Yeah, I'd go ahead and waive him. Pick up a veteran and move on.

I'd rather Stone than Carter.
