I'll bet we all think of Iggy, Lawson and Gallo when we think of the Nugget's best players.
How about Iggy and Manimal? Take a look at this: http://wagesofwins.com/2012/10/09/the-s ... more-12271
Manimal a top 10 NBA player? I am a fan of Manimal but I am not ready to annoint him just yet.

Re: Best Nuggets players
Didn't read through it all but it seems like it's all about advanced metrics and such, so it's no surprise a lot of our guys would be near the top of the list. That's the whole reason why our team has been so good despite not having "name" players. Our guys are, for the most part, a group of highly efficient players who shine in a lot of the 'intangible' areas. There are a lot more ways to impact the game than simply taking and making a lot of shots. It's almost like we're playing "moneyball" in the NBA.

I didn't really read all the article, but you should consider that wins produced is one stat. A pretty disliked one too, as far as I can read on this forum.
Most advanced stats, like for example any plus/minus based stat (APM, RAPM, SPM, etc.), agree in putting Gallinari as the most impactful Nugget, followed by Lawson. Iguodala ranks between fairly above Gallo and slightly below in any version of the stat, above Ty in any case. Faried comes in at slightly below to largely below Ty by every impact stat, his defense (or measured lack thereof) being the major reason.
I tend to consider impact stats more valuable than Wins produced, as the firsts are purely plus/minus based, while the second also has a boxscore component (meaning context-less and prone to human mistake - see: assists).
I would personally rank the Nuggets top three as Iggy -> Gallo -> Ty.

Plus minus and advanced stats all have their place, but I have a hard time saying that anybody was a better player then Lawson on the Nuggets last year.

Re: Best Nuggets players
^^^ Clearly an argument can be made based on minutes played, since Ty played 1.5x minutes than Gallo, but impact-wise it's not hard to understand why. While both do exercise a clear offensive impact, as shown by their usage of 24% and 31% of the offensive possessions of the team while on the floor, on roughly the same efficiency (Ty being the 31% guy, so advantage for him there), Gallo with his length, versatility and iq (plus a fair bit of flopping) exercises a level of defensive impact that is much bigger than what an undersized PG like Ty can hope to produce. I'm not saying Ty is a bad defender, but being a PG, given equal skill he's bound to have less defensive impact than a forward, and frankly I think it's clear that Gallo is clearly a better defender for his position than Ty is for his, so really there's quite a gap here.
