Very cool, do you think he can play the point guard position or is he just a shooting guard.

Hell to the no, he'd be ate alive !

I'm pulling hard for him as you can imagine when you see where I live, but I would be surprised if he can have a better career than Mike Pietrus... Not the same quality but I can't see him be more than a role player.

If Bellineli and Fernandez are what they are/were in this league, I can't see Fournier doing better stuff, and he's not anywhere potentially as of the same level as Parker or Batum. But hey I would be happiest guy on earth if he's turning into an All Star lol

He was playing Point-Guard in some occasions with Poitiers, and was pretty good at it.
This kid has great fundamentals and BBIQ, with his height he can play PG to SF positions.
Like Tony Parker, his main quality is his ability to create his shot at the rim and his main limitation is his long range %, although he's got good mecanics.
He lacks elite athleticism to be a star in the NBA, but I think he can develop in something between Bellinelli and Ginobili

Yes but he is not very reliable. He was 28 %3FG but he was shooting a lot (more than 4 attempts per game). Given his age (19) he can improve a lot because he has nice shooting form, only needs to improve his accuracy

He was playing PG in Poitiers, that's like when Boris Diaw was playing PG sometimes in France... It would be suicide in NBA. He has a good shooting form, but as of right now he's clearly a slasher and as you say he lacks athleticism and it will hurt him very very bad... He can finish at the rim in Pro A, he has a good reach but he's not strong at a NBA-level nor quick as Parker ever was.

I don't think he will be good right now, but let's see his development over the next 3 years, skillset seems to be here anyway.

Will he come over this season or next? Apparently he did alright in summer league.

We've already signed him. He'll be in the NBA for the next 3 years at least.

my thoughts after summerleague

this kid is talented and is a playmaker, not a pointguard. He has a nice stroke, and could/should turn into at least a solid shooter that can spread the floor. He has very quick hands (not quick feet) and high bball IQ

I loved him coming of screens, getting the ball, attacking the basket and making good plays for the team

I'm honestly happily surprised to see Evan getting praises from George Karl and see him getting a good amount of minute during preseason.

I'm still not a big believer but I'm very happy for him and I guess his professional experience (3 years) over there give him an edge on maturity something that Karl might appreciate.

What Nuggets' fan think so far about him right now ?

Fournier looks like he has some talent and shows flashes. I think he can be a player in the NBA although it is going to take him a year or two before he is really effective.

I agree Rebel. He has shown decent handles, solid BBIQ, just not the explosiveness you would like out of a starting SG in the NBA. I do really like his height, and if he puts on some weight over the next couple years he will be a good size for a NBA SG.

Time will tell... I think he should continue to improve the more minutes he gets.

Just dear god please don't let Anthony Carter somehow make this team. GK will give him minutes at the 2 for some unknown reason.

He did a nice first run for a rookie that some thought would be a DLeaguer (as much I didn't believe in him this first season at least I saw him as a 12th man). I doubt he will be in Rookie first team or whatever but I'm very glad that he does everything to make me eat my crow !
