11 games into the season and one thing has been pretty clear - Iggy still doesn't know where or how he fits into this team. He does a little bit of everything, but nothing really stands out in his game. Season averages are 36 mpg, 6.5 rebs, 3.8 asts, 1.0 stls and 13.2 pts on 43% FG Shooting. Each of the past 5 games, his point totals have dropped. He at times looks confused, disinterested, unmotivated. Is this the wrong system for his playing style?
But the biggest thing for me is that his +/- is the worst on the team at -42. Iggy was brought in to shore up our perimeter defense, but so far, that hasn't happened.
My suggestion is bring him off the bench and let him play with the 2nd unit of McGee and Dre. Heres a few reasons why:
-Iggy and Dre have played together before and seem to work together well
-Moving Iggy to the bench allows Ty and Gallo to become the top scoring options for the starting 5
-It reduces the need for a two PG lineup that GK loves
-Corey Brewer provides great energy, defense and has the best +/- on the team at +16, and is also our best three point shooter from the corner at 42%, he can focus on playing defense and not taking over 10 shots per game.
Iggy will still play starter liker mins, it just means hopefully with the switch, we get off to better starts and we have a great scorer coming off the bench.
Minutes distribution would look like:
PG - Ty - 35, Dre - 13
SG - Brewer - 20, Iggy - 16, Dre - 12
SF - Gallo - 20, Iggy - 16, JHam - 12
PF - Faried - 34, Gallo - 14
C - KK - 20, McGee - 28

If it were me:
Ty (32) / Miller (16)
Iggy (31) / Hamilton (10) / Miller (7)
Gallinari (34) / Hamilton (10) / Iggy (4)
Faried (30) / Chandler (18)
McGee (28) / Koufos (20)
Ty's minutes drop as he has been terrible so far. Iggy is fine, he brings what is advertised defensively.
Hamilton fixes 95% of the floor spacing issues we have.
Unsure about Chandler, wouldn't mind giving Mozgov some minutes and moving Koufos to the 4.
Koufos starting experiment is a disaster, he's a terrible defender.
10 man rotation. The next thing I'd do is trade Dre/Chandler for a backup PG with range and a backup 4 with a midrange-3pt shot.

I'm not sure how JHam fixes our floor spacing issues? Career averages:
NCAA - FGs - 430%, 3PT - 377%
NBA - FGs - 421%, 3PT - 373%
He has only made 22 three pointers in his NBA career - too small to measure.

.373 is very good, and the boy is money when left open. Teams also can't pack the paint completely when he's on, which opens the lane for Gallo/Lawson/whoever to attack the basket.
He also doesn't jack up a shot as soon as he gets the ball, and isn't a terrible ball handler so that when he dribbles he loses the ball. And that he's a great rebounder as well.

Defensively Andre has been a good addition. I think offensively he and the rest of the team have struggled to know each others games. I'm hopeful this changes the more they play together because I do feel like he could bring a lot to the team offensively as well once they learn each others games more.

That's probably defended/contested for the most part, wide open he would have a very nice percentage. Brewer's 3pt attempts are ALL wide open. Brewer screws up the spacing because his man is nowhere near the three point line.

Starting Brewer must be the most stupid idea I've ever heard here. No. Please leave this idea.
