Re: West Playoff Seeding
Golden State worries me for a couple of reasons. They have the ability to get insanely hot from three, which we are notoriously terrible at defending, and they might have the best home crowd in the NBA. On the other hand, they probably don't have the star power that could lead to an extreme free throw disparity like Houston has with Harden.
Both of them have relatively little playoff experience, and both teams' best player is going to have to deal with the best wing defender in the league. Even without Gallinari and a less than 100% Faried, I really like our chances against either GS or Houston.

I like it. We've got size and speed, they've got size and the deep ball. I like our defense, too.

Both Houston and Warriors haven't been to a playoff in a long time. Houston made it in 2009.
I think Denver has the best chance against anyone. Personally I think Denver is a threat to everyone, and everyone better watch out.
Warrrior's have great 3pt shooting and fast pace. Houston has two great player and also have great pace and shooting caliber. Both won't take it lying down, but I am sure Denver is a foot in for Western Finals!!
Still, I think Golden State could beat Spurs in 1st round, Houston is tough, but in a 7 game series, I don't see them in 2nd round.
Nugets vs Warrios = Nuggets
Spurs vs Houston = Spurs
Spurs vs Nuggets = Nuggets
Nuggets vs OKC = Nuggets!

Re: West Playoff Seeding
perhaps this is foolish: Golden State doesn't worry me in the slightest - especially since we're at home. They might make things interesting, but I can't see us losing four games.
I'm looking ahead, and I think the next round has some fascinating possibilities. With a healthy Steve Nash, and no Kobe to prevent D'Antoni-ball, the Lakers could be dangerous against the Spurs. The Spurs have to have Parker and Ginobili back at 100% . . . do they? If the Lakers upset, that would give us another round at home.
Health of key players could be a HUGE factor over the next two rounds:

Ok, Spurs had no trouble at all with the Lakers in game 1. Manu and Parker seem fine. I also thought missing Diaw and Stephen Jackson could lead to problems, but they didn't show. Looks like they're going to coast into round 2.
