Intentional fouls are routinely used at the end of games as you know. The referees are frequently told, in advance, the fouls are coming. For you, or anyone for that matter, to try to assert intentional fouls at the end of a game are roughing someone up is the most absurd thing I've ever read on RealGM and that is saying a lot.
