Pistons deal: Monroe for who?

Post#1 » by HotelVitale » Mon Jul 29, 2013 3:22 pm

We've been arguing about Monroe's trade value on the pistons board, looking for some help from y'all. With Drummond and Josh Smith on board, we might end up overloaded with bigs and poor everywhere else. Monroe seems to be our best trade commodity. The Nuggets have popped up as potential partners because a) you have lots of assets and b) you have a center in Javale who pairs nicely with Monroe. Briefly, Monroe is an excellent rebounder who excels in the high post. He can create his own shot and has great footwork, and he's a very savvy passer. Statistically, he's a very efficient possession user, and still quite young. He plays a bit like Tim Duncan on offense but without the bank shot. Defense is a work in progress (ie not good) but he's big and willing. He's also eligible for an extension after this year, so he won't be super cheap for long.

Hypothetically, what would you consider dealing out of these options: Lawson, Gallo, Faried, Chandler, Fournier, 2014 first.

Thanks for your thoughts.

I would probably do Chandler and Faried with some kind of filler for Monroe and Cv

Thanks much. I know you probably wouldn't be eager to offer either of these, but how would you react if you saw a Gallo/Faried for Monroe swap, or a Lawson/Chandler? Indifferent? Not thrilled? Livid?

And thank you too, big guy. Not sure what you're getting at--how is Monroe not worth, say, Fournier and Chandler?--but I'll take whatever cash you want to float my way. I accept bitcoin.

ahahhaha,

I'm sorry if you felt offended by my pic. I think it was a funny way to say that your proposal is very very hurt.

Fournier & Chandler have very good contracts to trade them for Monroe.

Maybe André Miller.....

Gallo Faried I may consider depending on the overall deal, lawson and Chandler is just too much value.

Return to Denver Nuggets
