I know that most here wanted Karl gone but what about

the fact that Ujiri could have been kept in Denver with a big raise and the same authority that he has in Toronto since he was still under contract here. I believe that JKronk's spiel about respecting his friendship with Masai and letting him go back to Toronto, his favorite city, was pure B.S. What he wanted was unfettered control of all player decisions, which he got by naming his puppet Tim Connelly, GM.

Meanwhile, when Ujiri took control in Toronto, most NBA "experts" figured he dump Wayne Casey as coach. He didn't and look where they are now. Of course, it helped that he was able to dump the biggest dog on the team, Bargnani, and the most selfish player, Gay while building a young core around Lowry and DeRozan.

Toronto is now not only a top scoring team - tied for 2nd at 105.4 - but also 3rd in differential, 8.6 and 8th in points allowed at 96.8.

While a lot of you seem to agree that Shaw needs to go, I believe that JKronk is an even bigger problem who isn't going anywhere .

Well, did you consider it was Masai who traded for JaVale as well as gave him that monster contract ? The only team he really took to the woodshed was NYK IMO . I did appreciate his eye for talent in the later part of the draft. Also, he wanted to go back to TOR and it was more Kroenke didn't stand in his way. That and FO is cheap with their FO hires...... :banghead:

Ujiri was only under contract until June 30th of last year, Kroenke could have waited for another month but if someone is leaving do you really want them running your draft? I really think that the offer the Raptors had out there was more money than the Kroenke's were willing to spend, they do not have the reputation of paying up for coaches or front office personnel.

You may be right though in that the biggest problem with the Nuggets is Josh Kroenke, so far the results on TC and Shaw is not very good, and I do not know if it will get better.

Not the entire story, Rebel.

Ujiri, whose contract with the Nuggets was to expire on June 30, had been weighing offers from both Denver and Toronto.

Team president Josh Kroenke told The Denver Post a week ago that he and Ujuri had agreed in principle to a contract extension, but once the Raptors came calling, he felt obliged to let Ujiri interview with his old team.

Personally, I do not believe that either Josh or Silent Stan do anything that doesn't put their own interest first.

A great example will probably come soon when St. Louis Stan gets to move the NFL Rams to L.A.

That will put him in a class with the Browns move to Baltimore.
