Teams like the Nuggets versus teams like the Cavs and Clips

I know that Shaw finally read my post ,almost, with WC replacing Gallo as the 5th starter playing big minutes and reducing the rotation to 10 and it worked for a great win against the Cavs who are generally touted as a sure thing to make the NBA Finals.

Still, I contend that the Nuggets DO have a stronger bench than the Cavs or the Clips and it is POSSIBLE for a smart coach to determine the correct way to use it quite successfully.

Putting Gallo back in as a starter, hopefully soon, the Nuggets bench of WC, Hick, Nate and Foye as the primary bench along with either McGee of Nurkic and still having Gee for defensive spot play and, yes, Arthur and whichever other 7 footer plus Harris is far and away better depth than either Cleveland or L.A have, despite the so-called NBA experts praise for those team benches.

The key really is the coach and I wouldn't mind a bit if Shaw figured it out. I don't have a lot of confidence that he will and, if he doesn't, the smart move is to dump him sooner rather than later for someone the players will relate better to.

Read the ESPN article on Kerr and G.S. and how the players, most of whom were really unhappy with Mark Jackson's firing, have had no trouble bonding quickly with a rookie coach, albeit one who has five championship rings as a player.
