If we had faried in a 6th, 7th man role with a more legit starting pf, it'd be a good start.

.
Looking at some video, Lauvergne definitely has a nose for the rim and doesn't mind banging inside.
At his height, it would be great if those skills translated against NBA fours.

Re: Joffrey
Awfully quiet this week.
JJ was, by appearances, supposed to be that legit starting PF, at least while Gallo was out. Faried got a lot of great experience in the interim and JJ I think folded because he knew Faried was his direct competition for the spot. Instead of outplaying Faried, he did the opposite.
Now we need to get Gallo back in condition and bring in Joffrey as a better reinforcement.
Now we need to

Re: Joffrey
From an outsiders perspective, Faried is one of the few players I'd want to build the new Nuggets around.
He has an unbelievable motor & despite whatever shortcomings you can point out the guy is still chock full of potential & will continue to improve.
Focus on ridding yourselves of McGee & Hickson most of all. Bring over the kid Joffrey & see what he can do. Do not deal for Lopez (unless you lose the two above mentioned) & start to give your rookies some PT in the second half.
Being from NY I still am sore from the Melo trade. Big fans of WC & Gallo. I hope things work out for you guys moving forward.

Always greener, my friend. Used properly, I am a huge Faried fan too. I'm not a fan of trying to stick dodecahedron pegs into star shaped holes and then getting frustrated that there's no fit.
Ours is definitely a question of somehow recognizing we have really good pieces in a reconfigured roster and not to throw away perfect role players because they were given a bad plan of attack.
Wish we could go after Cousins and have Cousins start with Faried as the best backup rebounder in the league.
