We aren't adding anymore picks, that would be stupid when that could be a high lottery pick too.....

So if NYK gets #1 & Den gets #7, you wouldn't take that deal to get KAT to give up Hezonja & Lawson?

Tough to say, but I wouldn't, Lawson and #7 would be all I offered, maybe the POR pick but CERTAINLY would give ours up. !!

I don't think Gary Harris is the answer at point guard. They should try and experiment with it next year with Jameer Nelson as a mentor to help out and be the stopgap until they find a better fit.

As far as where Lawson should be dealt, it's been touched on the GB and Sacramento seems like the best fit due to Lawson's past connections with Karl and the fact that they have a lotto pick which can help out the rebuilding process. This is one deal that came up:

Denver: #6, Jason Thompson, Carl Landry, Ray McCallum
Sacramento: Ty Lawson, Randy Foye

It's a pretty solid deal since Sacramento adds a third stringer in Foye who can play both PG/SG and is cheap and an expiring. Lawson is a solid point guard on a team friendly deal for 2 more years and Darren Collison can run the second unit and makes the team stronger overall and they get rid of Thompson who no longer wants to be in Sacramento and has a T/O for a buyout for 2.65 million along with Landry's deal.

Denver does this since they pretty much have to move in a different direction since Lawson clearly wants out. They end up in a big problem though with the fact that they now have a glut of 4's although Hickson is an expiring and Thompson's last year comes with a cheap partial buyout. Landry can be a good veteran on a rebuilding squad and getting the #6 pick can help in a rebuild. McCallum has some sleeper value and could look like a very good addition.

No way do I want to take on BOTH Landry and Thompson, maybe one or the other (prefer Thompson over Landry) but not both. I'm sure a good deal will come along for Lawson, but I don't think that's the best deal available. George Karl will be the driving force if a SAC deal happens which really puts us in the driver's seat as he'll want to win now. He trusts in what Lawson can do, and Lawson is UC for two more seasons.

Just wondering IF Denver Nuggets get MDA as head coach, what do you guys think about getting Jeremy Lin?

If MDA does become headcoach for the Denver Nuggets!
What do you guys feel about getting Jeremy Lin as a starting PG?
Possible Linsanity revival?

Have no interest in Lin, he doesn't fit our style of play IMO

I think tim connoly should be fired lol. I called for a Lawson trade in February and hes just getting around to it. I thought shaw should've been fired in November/December when we still had a chance to do something. Next thing you know, we are on a skid that was destined to land us a top 5 pick and then tc decides making fans happy for a week was worth more than getting the most talented player possible and fires shaw. I could keep naming things but we have to get that guys outta here. Hes making his case for top 5 worst gms in the league (billy king still holds the top spot)

Sorry, but getting rid of Connelly won't solve the problem.

It is the Kroenkes who need to go. Josh is the guy calling the personnel shots and Silent Stan is still the guy with the final say on player spending.

While many here might complain about the last deals Faried, Lawson and, even, Gallo got, they were definitely not BIG contracts. Nobody since Melo - and not any other Nugget player since big buck max contracts started - has gotten REALLY BIG long term money here.

Kroenke is filthy rich but he has been spending big bucks the last few years in buy controlling interest in Arsenal F.C. and the Rams and trying to build a NFL football facility in L.A. for them - which he may well get shafted by the league who could favor moving the Chargers to L.A. He has been in a salary cutting mode since they fired Karl.

If D'Antoni is the new coach then Lin will thrive in the new system.

this "coaching search" of nuggets is similar to how free agency is going to be for denver. players will outright not want to go to denver similar to how scotty brooks wasnt even interested for a sitdown with denver. we havent conducted 1 interview yet but the search is down to d'antoni and hunt? unbelievable

kroenke and tim conolly are to blame but kroenke owns the team so nothing can really be done there. tc can/should get the boot though. not feeling his direction with the team

How do you know how many interviews the Nuggets have conducted? Very few rumors come out from the Nuggets this time of year, and it has been that way for years. There were reports that the Nuggets started the interview process 3 weeks ago, and there are reports that we should expect the new coach to be introduced in the next couple of days. From the start it has been pretty obvious that the Nuggets were focused on D'Antoni, Hunt, and Gentry, as they guys coach the style of systems that the front office and ownership want to head back too.

Truth is Brooks made it clear right off that he was not interested in interviewing anywhere this year, and I am not all that excited about him, he is a good coach, but I do not see a great coach and never really have in his time with the Thunder.

Gentry was a decent candidate, and he did well with a stacked team in Phoenix, but we will not know how good of a coach he really has become for a few months.

It's true that nobody here knows how many interviews the Nuggets have conducted.

That said, one can make a good guess that Kroenke/Connelly are easily as dishonest as Reinsdorf/GarPax in Chicago when they said that they hadn't done anything regarding looking for a new coach prior to firing Thibodeau.

Just saying.
