Those were some nice comments from Kidd, and reality is if Mudiay is even close to as good as Kidd was in his prime than I would be thrilled.

He obviously is a great passer. He will certainly cut down on his TOs. HE has the potential to be a very good defender.

He will eventually be a much better scorer BUT he absolutely SHOULD NOT be leading the team in shots per game at this point in the season.

WheRe are the majority of his shots coming from?

Ugly off balanced/contested unnecessary jumpers from mid-range. When he shoots normal and squares up, his shot isn't too bad. His shot selection is the big thing he needs to work on. He's trying to do too much.

his fg% is so bad. I used to shake my head at MCW's fg% in philly but Mudiay is almost 8% worse than MCW. Why doesn't Manny post up? he could get easy buckets in the post and draw so many double teams that he would average 9-10 assists per game. He is like the biggest PG since penny hardaway.

Honestly I'm not sure how much of a post up game he has but this seems like a pretty good idea when you have bigs who can space the floor like Lauvergne and Jokic(who hasn't taken many 3s but seems to have the ability to). I wouldn't mind seeing some of this.

His shot looks improved since summer league which in my mind is a good sign, the selection has just been bad. When or if he can fix this, which I think he can, he will improve pretty drastically offensively.
