Denver @ Golden State: He's Back

Post#1 » by DaFan334 » Sat Jan 2, 2016 10:28 pm

8:30 start on Altitude

Nurkic will make his season debut in limited minutes.

I'm hoping to see him and Joffrey play together and Joking and Faried pair together. This IMO would best utilize each bigs skills giving the right amount of spacing, low post play and rebounding.

Yikes, not the start we were hoping for. Still great to see nurkic back out there though!

Why are they trying to shoot the ball like they're the warriors? This is ugly.

nice to see them fighting to get back into it down by 6, or course than it goes to 8 and Nelson may be hurt.

I thought Barton and Nelson were really forcing it in OT, lots of bad shots. Hell of an effort though, this team doesn't quit. Hopefully Faried is alright, he was fantastic tonight.

Any update on Faried? He looked badly shaken, and seemed to be getting worse.... Is he up and okay?

They just showed him he is still down where he fell, does not look good but he does reportedly have movement in his arms and legs

Super frustrating that Gallo is being defended by Ian Clark in OT, who gives up about 1 foot to him. We only went to Gallo on two possessions. I knew we weren't making a game tying 3 when Gallo was in-bounding the ball. That's the difference between Malone and Walton as coaches I guess.

Kind of weird they didn't stop the game for Faried, looks like he got some whiplash. Great game though fighting back when they easily could have packed it up after the first quarter. I'm glad they showed heart, should give them some confidence going forward.

On a side note: Thank God Altitude brought in Vic Lombardi! Makes these halftimes/post games a lot better to watch.

They did a good job fighting their way back, but it seemed like Nelson and Barton thought they needed to take over the game, and neither of them are really able to. agree with eathb, they should have went to Gallo more often especially with the way he was playing tonight.

Warriors fan here. The game is kind of put in perspective when someone gets injured like that. He seemed just annoyed at first, but then it got progressively worse... that's what is scary - something with internal swelling around the spine/brain or hematoma or something... he just got worse and worse.... and they continued the game as if he just sprained his ankle.

Those kinds of injuries can become life threatening. I am just blown away they didn't stop the game. I really hope he is okay and is just stunned or has some sort of minor injury and nothing serious...

sounds as if there are no neurological symptoms but he did get a blow on his spine and they are making sure nothing is broken or fractured.

Hoping Faried is ok, that seemed like a possible neck injury. Along with other, I'm amazed the game wasn't stopped.

As far as Nurkic is concerned, they eased him inwith only 5 minute but clearly they are going to throw him into the fire much like Mudiauy. In those 5 minutes they seemed to set him up in the post on almost all possessions. I am glad the team is going this route as we will probably see how good he can be with alot of possessions. Once he gets back to normal minutes he could produce some solid numbers and will likely get alot of experience.

Bulls fan here. First off I'm still pissed we gave you guys Nurkic for Doug mcdermott even if it was straight up, let alone with Gary Harris and a 2nd tossed in :banghead:

I think it will be interesting to see Nurkic play with Mudiay. I really don't think Mudiay is any good but one thing he does do well is pass/set the table for others. He should excel having a skilled big like nurkic to feed in the post

Faried is out of the hospital, but listed as questionable for a while.'

Liked what I saw from this team last night, earlier in the season they would have folded but they fought back with a strong defensive effort. Caveat * Curry went out in the first half but still showing a lot of heart !
