He says they're going to be aggressive but he said that last year and didn't do much, so I don't know what to think. He implied they were not interested in a lot of rookies. He also said that the entire roster was good but not all would be back. Finally he basically said he'd listen to offers. In other words, I have no idea what direction he plans to take.

Of course he shouldn't play his hand out in public. Besides, who knows what offers he may have or not have at this point. Direction comes from action not words.

I think that was what I was implying. "said last year ... didn't do much ..." Then I indicated what he said in the article before saying "I have no idea what direction ..." implying we'll have to wait and see.

The Clippers would not move JJ for Chandler to put it lightly

Agreed - doubt the Clippers would ever consider that.
More to the point: Why would the Nuggets want to trade for a 30+ year old player at this point? The Nuggets may hit the playoffs next year, but they are two or three years away from being a championship contender - at a minimum. Three years makes Redick in his mid-thirties. The Nuggets would need to find a new SG by then. Patience is what the Nuggets need.

An interesting tidbit on our Summer League

"Also, keep an eye on 2015 second round pick Nikola Radicevic, who plays for Sevilla in Spain’s ACB league as a candidate for the Nuggets Summer League roster. The 6-foot-5 point guard, who has shades of Goran Dragic in his game, missed the entirety of last season after undergoing right hip surgery, but is reportedly nearly back to full health. Radicevic is in communications with Nuggets personnel who think highly of the point guard.

“People of Denver [are]in contact with me since the summer,” Radicevic told Spain’s EFE. “I care and I’m happy because it is a very good franchise, with a great organization, but now I’m focused on continuing here another season, and talk about the future.”

It’s hard to tell through a translator what exactly Radicevic means when he says he’s focused on continuing in Spain for another year, but he might not be a candidate to come over to the NBA right now. At least not at the beginning of the 2016-17 season."

We should have a pretty stacked SL roster this year !!

So, The Rebel, I have noted you calling him out as as SG, do you foresee him as playing that position as compared to a backup PG ??

I do not remember calling him a SG but I probably did. The one tape of him I saw had him playing SG, some have called him a combo, Connelly and recent articles are more leaning towards a PG. So I put him as a PG now. The kid sounds like a good prospect, hopefully he can recover from his injury and be a good young 6th man type next year.

The article compares him to Goran Dragic, if that's the case I can wait that extra year.

Dragic is not a bad point guard, especially when playing with other ball handlers. He is not a max playe and has holes in his game, but if we could have a prime Dragic playing behind Mudiay and Harris if they continue to develop in 3 years we would be basically set in the backcourt.

If this guy is Dragic lite, imagine him at the end of the bench with Mudiay, Harris and either Hield or Murray!

He has not nba range. He maybe can improve and arrive at Dragic's level (good p&r, assists and rebounds that cover his shooting's lack) but he need at least 5-6 years.

and that's the point of Radicevic - he won't come in as a max player but shows a lot of upside - it seems the Nuggets would like him to play one more year in Europe and whether that's his desire or he's taking his lead from the Nuggets, Radicevic is saying the same thing. - if he shows up for the Summer League, and that's always questionable because of tournaments and such in Europe, he could surprise everyone and get an invite for next year - he'd have a chance to be the 3rd PG and whether or not he's a combo-guard, Malone, like many coaches, likes to have two PGs on the floor at the same time for at least part of the game - he's intriguing in my opinion

If he really needs 5-6 years to develop, I don't think he'll ever be on an NBA roster. I think he'd be pushing 30 by the end of that 6 year development plan.

Yes. He just returned from a serious injury so I don't know if he is improve but a year ago he wasn't NBA material.
