Wouldn't say the small ball lineup 'won', they just didn't lose the good lead that the Balkan ball lineup made.
Don't have a problem with leaving Jokic on the bench, wasn't playing that great, but Nurkic was our leading scorer and a very good rim protector, just amazing that he didn't see the 4th.
Had this same problem last year with Malone. We need to stop adapting to other teams. If they are clearly better than us then I could understand but we should realistically be way above the team that New Orleans put out last night.

Re: Nuggets at Pelicans (Regular season begins!!)
Quick drop in from a Raps fan to say congratulations on win #1. I watched a ton of Nuggets games last year rooting against you for Raptors draft pick purposes (sorry!) and came away very impressed by your young talent and a complete drinker of the Jokic Kool-Aid. The drafting of Canadian Jamal Murray only deepened my Nuggest interest. This year I bet the Nuggets season win total Over as my favorite over/under of the year - I thought the Nuggets talent was really undervalued (I ended up getting it at 35.5 - I think they sail over that) even though they are very young in spots. Anyway, I'm rooting for the Nuggets all season long (except the 2 they play vs. the Raps) - best of luck on a great season!

Thanks much - I agree the Nuggets should exceed 35.5. I figure them for around 39, maybe a game or two better. It's OK if you don't cheer for them over the Raptors, but barely.
