19 different lineups this year and coach says that makes things difficult. I get that. He's right. We've had quite a few injuries, other teams have had more. We all know that many injuries can cause issues.
However, I got to thinking and the first lineup change was when Malone moved Jokic to center and started Faried, I believe.
Another change, not due to injury, was when Malone replaced Faried with Chandler.
So I got to thinking. How many different centers have we had start? Answer: 2 (if my memory serves me right).
Then I started wondering how many different players have started. That was interesting.
12 different Nuggets have started this year:
44 Gallinari
41 Mudiay
29 Nurkic
28 Jokic
25 Faried
24 Harris
17 Barton
14 Nelson
14 Chandler
5 Arthur
2 Murray
2 Hernangomez
That led me to wonder how many games each guy played in where he did not start:
0 Gallinari
2 Mudiay
13 Nurkic
14 Jokic
20 Faried
1 Harris
18 Barton
35 Nelson
31 Chandler
20 Arthur
47 Murray
31 Hernangomez
That means many of these different lineups were NOT due to injuries
Missed games
5 Gallinari
2 Mudiay
7 Nurkic
7 Jokic
4 Faried
24 Harris
14 Barton
0 Nelson
4 Chandler
24 Arthur ---- CD included
0 Murray
16 Hernangomez --- CD included
19 different lineups is a lot - if Malone, in his second year with most of these players, had been consistent in his rotations, there probably would have been 8, maybe 10 different rotations IMO

Re: 19th Different Lineup
The consistency was talking about Chandler.
No one can take away from my head that if since game #1 the starting lineup was the same of the last year
Mudiay/Harris/Gallo/Faried/Jokic
or
Mudiay/Barton/Gallo/Faried/Jokic when Harris was injuried
now we would have a > 0.500 record (maybe > 0.550)

It is on Malone, this team has had injuries, but it feels like we have a different starting lineup and rotation every game.

Well, maybe, but I'm not going to argue with you.
The only "big" change from last year is Murray. Malone should have already known what his lineup was for this year. Instead he's still trying to figure it out.
Jokic-Nurkic
Faried-Arthur
Gallinari-Chandler
Harris-Barton
Mudiay-Nelson
Not the lineup I want, but if he had gone with that all year, things would be much more stable in terms of roles and number of starting lineups and that's the truth. I could even respect that - if we played the three rookies during trash time (which he doesn't usually do). Some coaches will play rookies, even on the top teams; most coaches don't like to play rookies. But even the super-anti-rookie coach George Karl played Carmelo as a rookie.

Re: 19th Different Lineup
I only blame Malone for Jokic mismanagement at the start of the season, it really cost Denver at least 10 games in the win column , team record would have been much better if Jokic had the same role as he enjoys currently. As far the rest of team goes , its very hard to please everybody, there are many players who needs playing time , it's hard to please every young player on the roster , when you are in the middle of play off hunt , at the same time you have quality vets available .
