I think letting gallo go would go a long way towards helping them secure a point guard.
Then chandler and faried are both movable and let millsapp slide in at the 4 with lyles backing him up.
As much as i love smallball i think hernangomez is a decent fit at the 3 with his stroke.
The $ is so much better spent elsewhere as gallo is not going to be healthy the next few years or help raise this teams defensive profile. They need a 3&D guy more than paying gallo 4/$100.
His timeline doesnt fit well with jokic/murray and he could be a tough deal to move. No way they can afford millsap, gallo, harris, and a pg. With jokic deal on the way

I see more than one team throwing max money toward Otto. I'd also say that Boston has been interested in Gallinari for a couple of years and if they can't get Hayward, they just might make the best offer to Gallinari, they have the cap space to make a nice 3 or 4 year offer or maybe a 2 year offer with the 2nd year a player option. That latter option might allow them to pay him a little more per year for two years.
I don't see Boston being as interested now that they drafted Tatum, especially a long term deal. And yeah Porter will have a few suitors which is why Kings won't land him and will look to Gallo next.

Ainge probably never wanted Gallinari as a starter anyway. So I'm not sure if this changes his viewpoint. On the other hand, Ainge has never seemed to want Gallinari enough to make a serious offer. But you might be right because I don't see Tatum starting this year, at least not early this year. So Tatum off the bench might make Gallinari less attractive.

Can those ever be 3 team trades?
Could players be added to gallinari in a s&t
It's been done, but S&T is always a little more complicated and adding a third team makes it more complicated yet.
The Nuggets don't seem to be great at organizing trades, but maybe another team can figure it out.

No I am very sure that Ainge wanted Gallo as a starter, and it would not surprise me if he still does. He wants him as a starting PF even if he gets George and Hayward, but he will not have the cap space. As for the deals he was offering, he is notoriously cheap and refuses to give up fair value in most offers. He is well known for it.

Where does Gallinari end up?
Appreciate Gallo for what he was...but I'm ok moving on. I have this fear that the big dominos fall quickly to others and we overpay Gallo a tad to keep him here. The line "We signed one of the top free agents on the market" will be used by TC and every blogger afterwards.

Re: Where does Gallinari end up?
It appears that Denver will sign-n-trade Gallinari to the Clippers and in exchange Atlanta will sign-n-trade Millsap to Denver along with a 2nd round pick. That's ignoring everything else involved in the trade.
According to cap-wise people, this is a good deal for Denver and looking at just those pieces, we are trading Gallinari for Millsap and a 2nd. What do you think?

I have seen nothing saying that Millsap is involved in a sign and trade to Denver since the original rumors that changes. All the cap wise people are saying that we are getting Millsap in a sign and trade as that is the only way it makes sense for the Nuggets for the Nuggets to do it if they get Millsap and send out contracts, but that doesn't mean it is true and from all reports about the actual deal it does not appear the be the case. Helping out another western conference team and making it that much easier to make the playoffs for a 2nd round pick is as stupid as handing Nurkic to a team that desperately needed a starting center and have 2 great guards then wondering why they made the playoffs and we missed it. I will be left to laugh at this front office if in 10 months we are the 9th seed and the Trailblazers and Clippers are the 7th and 8th seeds. But hey we will have the nicest front office in the league.
