The Nuggets are being inconsistent, to be expected from young players and the veterans all seem to be getting spot injuries (beyond Millsap/Jokic type injuries). Vets with injuries isn't all that much of a surprise. Wear & tear affects everyone.

Malone says players are no longer going to be given minutes, they'll have to earn them. He's said that before but maybe he's ready to actually follow through. We're accustomed to him playing the vets no matter what and keep the young players on a short leash (except for Harris & Mudiay). Lately he's been letting Murray play starter-minutes. Now let's see if he'll pull Barton or Chandler when they are having an off-night. Everyone deserves to have an off-night, even superstars. But if your backup is capable and you are having an off-night, the backup should get some more minutes.
