im glad to see this team fight. past nugget teams fold under the pressure. barton, lyles, murray...all were huge.
and we were on the road, second of a back to back vs a good rested team. oh and still missing millsap. so lots of positives but getting so close and losing still sucks.
and yes its hard to win when butler can get to the line whenever he wants but thats how the NBA is. stars get those calls in close games.
but our team grew up a little tonight. nice to see. hope it pays off in the long run.

Tough loss but some good things in this game for sure. Hard enough to finish a back to back in overtime, but especially when Jimmy Butler goes off, with some help from the refs. Great way to climb back in there. A few things to note IMO:
-Trey Lyles is a stud. He looks better and better by the game and looks like a great fit for this team. We need to consider starting him.
-Barton gets a bit of slack around here for being such an ISO player on here, but there are times this team needs him to do exactly that when the offense just falls flat. He came up big tonight.
-I would like to see Jokic get the ball more late in games as many of us would, but I do wonder how much his conditioning effects him late in games when he occasionally disappears. Again this offseason, he will need to work hard to develop his body more, its still not where I feel it needs to be for him to be a true superstar in this league.
-Has anything really come out about whats going on with Juancho? Is it just his defense needing work and Lyles taking his minutes or is it a health issue? Seems kind of perplexing.
-I think Arthur playing tonight says a lot about the Faried situation. I would assume its some sort of attitude issue over the lack of playing time. I have a feeling this won't end the best unless we can find somewhere to move him to. I just don't think he has that much value around the league anymore because of his skill set and lack of development. At some point they will probably sign Craig to a deal, wouldn't be shocked to see Faried the odd man out, via trade or maybe even buyout.

easy to say when you win.
I hope you post the next time we win.
If you watched the Twolves forum, there was a lot of one-way whining, but that's normal on every fan board. ALICEinJAM did not appear to be one of those.

It seemed the refs made some bad calls both ways IMO, however, Butler got to the line a lot because he took the ball straight at the Nuggets and he knows how to draw the fouls. He forces the refs to make the call and when great players do that, they usually get the call. It's the way of the NBA.

That's cool and I agree. There's a reason why I avoid most other team boards. I'd just like to make our board a good one for even visitors. Frankly, on some of those boards, even a compliment can be dangerous.
