After 3 not sure how we're still in this game with most of the starters stinking the joint up, thinking we'll be getting that 2nd loss tonight

Really poorly officiated game, feeds MEM's game perfectly

Don't make me wrong, but it is better for Denver to lose this game, so Jokic will stop with this circus of playing offense with obvious intention to not shooting. I have no idea what he is trying to prove, or is that some kind of silent protest (vs Malone?), but enough is enough. 4th game in single digit is ridiculous for all-star level player.

Credit to bench and defense once again.

Millsap 2 points, Jokic 4 points on 1 shot attempt, get that moron Malone out of here, if he cannot get his best players to understand their roles and responsibilities why is he here?

Other teams are assuming he will never shoot, it just makes it easier to stop his passes.

I had the exact same thought watching that 2nd half. It's ridiculous that this is becoming an annual thing with Jokic. I think his renewed effort on defense might explain some of his indifference on offense, but there's no excuse for just 1 FGA in a close game like that.

Jokic has to be not shooting on purpose, it’s very obvious he was passing out of open shots all night. I need one of the 50 Nuggets bloggers to expose wtf is going on.

Also, just start Juancho already, how many **** starts do we have to get out to until that change is made?

I think Jokic can score 20 plus points in his sleep every night but something is up , like the last season when Malone was controlling offense, drawing plays etc. This season offense is a hot mess again, too many isolation's for Millsap, on on one's , selfish plays, maybe Jokic is not liking this, if it wasn't for the good bench play , Denver would have much more losses so far in this season.

Malone on Jokic not shooting:”We’re 9-1 going into tonight and our offense is pretty good so I’m unsure what it does to our offense. Obviously we’d like for him to take more shots, he is not shooting the ball and we have to figure out why.

Why!!!
They are dominating teams. They were 9-1

Why would the team start to sabotage the coach!
USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team

Proceeds to finish 7th and shames the entire nation!

The real problem is Torey Craig.

Dude isn't a rotation player period. Teams don't even defend him. We have zero spacing when he and Millsap share the floor.

Hey guys,

First Nuggets game I watched and just visiting here to read your insight bout the game. , Exactly what I was thinking: Why Jokic is not shooting more the ball? I understand he got 4fouls kind of quick but isnt he supposed to be the first option? Was he dealing with any kind of pain/injury?

Also, as a Spaniard, Why is Juancho not starting/getting more minutes? He looks so good. Only problem I see is he looks anxious to prove he is worth it, that anxiety makes him rush sometimes and screw the play. Starting next to Jokic and Millsap should make him look better than playing next to lyles and Plumlee.

All in all, I like your team guys.

We have no idea why Jokic isn't shooting more.

We have no idea why Hernangomez is not getting more playing time.

This pretty much sums it all (loss) up. It was a close contest the entire game and the Nugs would have been 10-1 had Jokic been more aggressive in offense.

Was in Denver for this game and the motel did not have Altitude TV so I had to wait to get home before I could watch it - BUMMER! Well, actually I usually watch everything off the DVR during the middle of the night, so it's not a big deal, but I like to complain.

I agree with much of what everyone is saying and I've said it about some of the last few games - Jokic needs to shoot more! However, it looked to me like Jokic was hustling on defense and setting picks and such. I'm just confused as to why he isn't shooting. He acts like he's afraid of the basket.

Return to Denver Nuggets
