Gotta take care of the inside/outside game of Drummond and Griffin. S/B another win

Without three starters and league TOP60 players Murray-Harris-Millsap we are favorites to beat on the road team with best big man duo on the East. We are scary deep, but Malone is arrogant to put Lydon, Lyles, Craig, and Juancho in the same time, so Pistons have 12-0 run at the start of the 2nd. When Millsap is out, Plumlee should be on the floor every minute when Jokic is on the bench.

Almost every game in 2019 for Denver was 1stHalf<<<2ndHalf, but I'm afraid this time that -13 is way too much. We several times this season survived double-digit deficit at halftime, including last week's -19 in Memphis, and Detroit wasted +18 last week vs Clippers but playing without 3 starters on the road vs a team which fighting for playoff not looks promising.

While this loss isn't end-all beat-all, it's probably one that will cost us at some point. Down three starters, does Murray look like he'll be back anytime soon ?? And what the heck happened to Millsap ?? Harris is becoming injury-prone, either he came back too soon or ???

Also noticing how streaky Barton is, can't have that kind of inconsistency in the starting lineup.

Lastly, saw Vanderbilt only got 9mins in his last game, we could give him more than than while getting him used to OUR schemes.

Plumlee - nice game
Barton - bleah
Jokic - not one of his better games
Morris - nice game
Beasley - nice game

Bench? Lyles had a nice game (that covers it)

Inconsistent defensive effort finally caught up with us.

Since Malone came here, I've complained about his time management for young players during "garbage time" - speaking of which, since this game was clearly out of reach by the middle of the 4th quarter and he pulled Jokic (which made sense), why not let Vanderbilt play?

Hard to do with Millsap out, he's our toughest player

The injuries and guys playing a ton more minutes than they were used to previously finally caught up. It was bound to happen, and I am honestly surprised it took this long. It is hard to be upset with so many guys who have played better than expected and Jokic who along with Murray really carrier this team for over a month.

Why have Goodwin with the team if Malone is not going to use him? We all know Barton is not a PG and should not be used at PG and that we have 2 PGs out right now, but we have a 4th string PG, he has to be better than watching Barton dribble into guys, flailing about, and his constant selfish play at PG, he cannot run any offense so why try to force it?

We still really need an enforcer type. Lyles has been playing well enough to trade and we have a TPE, why are we not getting someone to protect Jokic and company?

The Nuggets yet have to come to the level where the games against the opponents like Detroit are routinely won. Philly has the same problem, in my opinion, so I believe it's due to the age of the players. If Denver manages to keep this core, they'll grow out of it in a few years and just steamroll the likes of Pistons and Magic. Adding another superstar would also help.

Preach!

Don't get me started on his terrible defense.

The 17 win Nuggets beat the 72 win Bulls
the 33 win Nuggets team beat the 73 win WArriors team
The Bobcats used to beat the Kobe/Pau Lakers all the time despite being a lotto team.

All teams lose games they should not lose every season, losing 1 due to fatigue and injuries catching up is not a big deal.

Will Barton is the cancer , he never look to pass , especially with Jokic, its like he wants to prove he's the best player on the floor, the a biggest ball hog in the league . The Nuggets made big mistake handing him that contract.

HE is fine when he is playing at SF with the other starters, the problem is that Malone loves to put him at PG and then you are right he is terrible for this team.
