What was that nonsense with Shaq speaking Russian to Jokic after the game? Does Shaq not know that Jokic is Serbian?

Anybody else have to keep double checking the score because the announcers were spending so much time kisses the Warriors asses?

Best thing was when Reggie was saying that the foul on Bartons 3-pointer and the one on Currys in the first quarter were basically the same kind of foul/contact (indicating that he doesn't understand why Barton was hurt afterwards), when Murray barely touched Curry on his shot and Barton got tackled by TWO players at once. That was such a cringe moment.

I think over at Denver Stiffs there was a comment from someone just listening to the stream or radio and thought the Nuggets are down at least 15 from the sound of it.

It was pretty sad when Jokic told him that he was Serbian and he thought Shaq knew that. The entire game including half time and after the game was a terrible display of TNT's issues with knowing a damn thing about small market teams, you would think that people paid to talk about a sport could pronounce the star's name and know what country he is from when a team was in the western conference finals 4 months ago.

I finally watched the 1st half while the wife was cooking dinner last night and as we were eating she mentioned that she was going to our room to read after dinner, she did not want to watch the Nuggets get blown out again. She swore I was lying to her when I said the Nuggets were up 11 points. When I was a kid Channel 2 only came in some times and they did not carry some games so I listened to the games on the radio, and even still I enjoy listening to Koz on occasion. I could not even try to listen to that game called by the tnt guys without having it on the TV screen, they didn't talk about the game at all other than how great Curry and the rest of the Warriors were for the 1st 3 quarters of the game it was terrible.

:vent: Modern announcers seem to be moving more and more towards the style they used on "Players Only" - which was a flop. I stopped watching those games. That style is all about talking in order to talk. It isn't about calling the game play-by-play and the co-announcer used to give insight into the game. Now we have people like Jeff Van Gundy and Mark Jackson talking about each other - whether they are calling the same game or in different states.

It's becoming nonsense. Barkley is the poster child for obnoxious statements just to get attention and he seems to be leading the way. I refuse to watch any segment with him involved. He often boasts about his ignorance with statements like, "I don't know anything about him, he's not worth watching" or something of that nature. He makes disparaging remarks about small market teams on a regular basis and in general caters to superstars and big market teams.

Shaq used to be reasonable, but it seems the longer he is teamed up with Barkley, the more he is becoming like him - with an attitude of "I'll say or do anything just to get attention". Are those two really just children competing for attention?

Steven A. Smith seems like more of the same.

Rant over, for now.
